I think dh and I have pretty much decided to try to sell our house. We have a certain price we must get in order for it to be financially reasonable to sell, so if we can't get that I guess we'll wait. We're hoping we can sell it for what we need so we can work on paying off our debt & get a fresh start. We plan to rent a house for a year or so after selling to allow time to pay off debts & save some money. We're not struggling financially, but we do live a tight, tight budget right now. So, this would help us out greatly. We're probably going to contact the RE agent this week or next. Then the work begins...getting it ready to be shown. Living with 4 kid…

As we all prepare to spend tomorrow with our family and friends, I wanted to take time out to thank each and every one of you. I have many, many things for which I am thankful this year. One of them is this wonderful site. We have seen it grow tremendously in a very short period of time. VST is not just another web site, it is a special place where we know we can all share our triumphs and challenges without fear of being judged. We know we can count on one another to help us through the good and bad times. In a very short period of time, we have become a family here. I am thankful for all of you, the support you have given me and the other members of this forum. …

I just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a happy, safe and blessed Thanksgiving holiday. We are heading to West Virginia to visit John's family for a week. Because of how isolated in the mountains of WV we'll be, I won't have internet or phone service. I should be able to get phone service sporadically when we head into "town". I'm very thankful to have the opportunity call all of you friends, and very grateful to have you all in my life.

I haven't come across a thread like this...maybe I'm wrong. Born from my facebook Movie List note, I realized I watch way too many movies...and I'd like to know what ya'll think of movies that you've seen. Recently I saw "He's Just Not That Into You" and I hated it. Not all of it, but most of it...I liked the uptight wife who threw the mirror and then cleaned it up. But overall the movie was really not what I expected. I expected it to follow the premise of the book, and I thought it'd be more of a chick-bonding flick than a sappy love story (or a few of 'em). The stories depicted proved the "exceptions" rather than "rule", which is what the book tried so hard to…

I mean, if you don't like fish, then why dont you just move on to the next thread? Who really cares what makes you gag or not gag???? I know I don't.

I would like people to name some movies they like. My friends and and I are always looking for movies to rent. We check the new releases, but I know there are some good movies that aren't new releases anymore. I like comedy but not that really stupid stuff that's just plain dumb. I also like a good drama. Mystic River is a good drama. It has Kevin Bacon in it. Anyone else want to name some of their favorites? Let's try to keep this thread going-new movies come out all the time.

Here's a few pics of the night ! ! ! In this day and age, most of us share a great deal of information about ourselves in "cyberspace." Whether it be here on LBT, other forums, blogs, MySpace, Facebook, etc., we put a lot of information about ourselves out there for others to see. By doing so, we may also be putting ourselves in a vulnerable position for cyberbullying. A friend of mine shared an interesting article with me today. I wanted to take this opportunity to pass it on to all of you as a reminder that we need to be careful of how we portray ourselves, what information we share with people and who we choose to share it with, as we never know when it may backfire against us. My dad died unexpectedly in June. In July my bf broke up with me the week after he told me he missed me so much after I got back from my dad's funeral, that he never wanted to let go of me. Today my little silky terrier who has been my baby for 13 years died in my arms while I was waiting for my vet to meet me at his office. She has had a heart murmur and has been on Lasix since Nov. and today her little heart just gave out. Oh boy, I am at goal and life still sucks.

I love reading the posts here. I read even more than I post and I do post a lot too. Some people are using very tiny fonts that are really hard to read. I sure don't want to miss anything being the curious little bugger that I am. I wear glasses but some of the fonts are still so tiny I really have to struggle to read them. If you go to user cp then to edit options on the left, right at the very bottom is where you can set your font size so that every post is the same size and you don't have to set it every time you post. Thank you in advance if you're willing to set your font so that it's a size that is easier to see.

Hi, I am booked in for a lap band operation in October and as it i set up I would like to go through with it, as I don't want to be on constant diets for the rest of my life, and I want to make sure I can just lose the weight I need and then start living properly. But my family members have heard of the Cambridge Diet - just 500 calories a day. Apparently the carbohydrate content in the shakes and Soups the Cambridge Diet programme sell their members is just enough for the body. You don't need to eat or drink anything other than what they give you. Because the carbs in the sachets are only just enough, it forces the body into ketosis, burning fat instead. When the body …

Besides a weight problem, I also have rhumetoid arthritis-I was wondering does anyone else who has had lap band surgery have a disease that can be aggrivated by your weight? How did you cope with the disease and its problems after surgery? did loosing weight help ease your other symptoms? I currently take a drug called enbrel to control my RA and will have to stop taking it a few weeks pre & post op. I am afraid not only will I be dealing with my new lap band, new eating AND have to deal with a severe flare up of the RA.

On lap band talk, there is a thread called "posting just to post" I think we need that thread here. We can talk about anything that's on our mind. This past weekend I went camping. In the middle of the night, the sprinklers came on with no warning. I seriously think the entire campground could hear me yelling "shut that off!" I had a book I borrowed from a friend on the picnic table. It got completely ruined. I am not happy. they should put signs up that underground sprinklers come on so don't set your tent up over one of these underground hidden sprinklers!

  40. It seems like my surgery has set off a ripple effect and everyone around me has started trying harder to lose weight (non-surgically, so far). I thought of that tonight when my buddy told me he had started going to the gym. My mother and my brother have also started dieting. All of them are significantly overweight (like me), but none of them were really trying to do anything about it until now. I am glad that it seems like this has been a catalyst for other people becoming healthier too...but it also worries me that they might be feeling threatened by my losing weight. None of them liked the idea when I first mentioned I was getting the surgery.

They sit on the walls, the radio aerial, the cupboards the range hood.........everywhere. I keep the vacuum plugged in and several times a day I suck them all up.
