Bunny Bandsters - April '09, MASTER THREAD #1

I don't know why these things happen to me but I got a call yesterday that the school district I am trying to get a job at will be holding interviews Saturday. I was picked for the first round of interviews but it will only be one day post op. I explained I am having surgery and she said that they could reschedule but it would be with round two interviews IF they need them. I told her I will suck it up and be there in round one because I don't want to blow my chances. I hope I will be okay...any advice?

do you know how you do on the pain meds that your doctor prescribes you? Would you have anyone that could drive you (i wouldn't let the interviewer know that though)?

I have a bad back so I know I can function okay on pain meds. I know if I am too sore to go then it is what it is BUT I at least want to give myself a shot and not count myself out before I know. My husband and my mom both said they will drive me so I am covered there. I just hate that it had to come NOW. I am not rescheduling this surgery for ANYTHING! I'm all systems go.

Hey Andrea, what binder are you referring to? Did you guys get some kind of binder after surgery? Is this something I should look into? I know I saw something in my friends pregnancy magazine about something called a belly bandit and wondered if that would be good for us to but I did not ask my doc or anything about it.

Hi everyone,

Checking in after surgery. Tummy's a bit sore (feels as though a horse has kicked me in the guts). Was nauseous when I woke up from surgery but that has passed. Have a few gas pains but the pain relievers help keep them under control.

As I was leaving the hospital at 11am, I ran into loulou09 who is being being banded later this afternoon - all the best loulou - I'm thinking of you.

Will write more when I feel up to it.

Lili

Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

I went in for my 2 week post op appt. I learned that I have a 10cc band which he normally fills with 3cc during surgery. I got to feel where my port is, but still haven't seen the doctor. My mushies are progressing, so I'm looking forward to some other options. My first fill will be May 19th. I was also excited to learn that the office has later appts on Tuesday nights, so I won't have to take any more time off of work :)

Tomorrow will be a month since I took my pictures, so I took them today. I still have to take my measurements. Here they are. My first pictures are on page 5.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
