Have a great trip. Hopefully you can check in from Florida! Would love to meet down there but sounds like we will miss each other.

Would have been really nice to meet, Long...maybe some day. We are soooooooooooooo in need of this vacation. Hard to pack for a month. I did it without going over the baggage restrictions....pretty good, huh?

Are you flying into Gainesville? That's where my folks prefer we fly into so they dont' have to deal with Orlando traffic. It's looking like the end of Feb that we will be going. Could use some nice weather myself as we got hit with a blowing snow this morning. Not that much though.

Flying into Orlando. Using miles from Alaskan Airlines and didn't have any other option. We were able to get first class so trip should be comfy anyway.

We are just hoping we can get out of here in the morning. Still blowing and snowing. Ugh!

Allie ~ Nothing wrong with being pissed and upset over the pay cut. And I was probably one of the people that commented on being thankful that you have a job, sorry no offense intended. I can also relate to your anger over your friends giving you a hard time because they make less than you, it doesn't matter if it's $10,000 or $100,000, it is a big impact. We all adjust our life styles to the money we make and they have no idea what your financial situation is and you should not have to justify it. My friends have commented that oh you will do ok, look at all the stuff you have. Not that I would admit to them, but it was my paycheck that afforded us the life style we lived because I made much more money than my husband. I worked my butt off for 23 years at this company to earn that living and now look where it got me...Now I'm venting...LOL! I've found with loosing my job that it's almost like going through the grieving process. So go ahead and scream, cry and feel sorry for yourself, there is nothing wrong with that. Believe me, in a month you will feel a little bit better emotionally. I have gotten to the point to where I can actually sleep through the night now. Hang in there and I pray things get better for you.

Addy ~ I for the most part have made it through the 5 day pouch test and have reduced my carb cravings, but still struggling some. It seems my restriction is just about gone. What is up with that? Even though I was eating the wrong things due to stress and holidays, I still had such good restriction and little hunger that I thought I was finally at my sweet spot. Then my dr. canceled my fill appointment today and can't get me in for 3 weeks. Think I am going to call and demand they squeeze me in. I don't want to get to the point to where I start gaining weight, bad enough that I'm just not loosing any.

We are in the deep-freeze here. As I type I am sitting here shivering, guess I better get under the covers and get some sleep....Good Night!

Hi all,

Apples, I agree with Lucy, I sooo envy you :) I will be praying for safe travel. Have a great "warm" time in Florida. I love the ocean:tt1:

V, I didn't finish, but I didn't start eating carbs (after the icing incident, :) I am really trying to push the Protein. I realized I was short on it.

I am fixing to get ready to go to Water aerobics, because I am enrolled for regular classes at the college I can use their gym. I am going to "try" and walk on the treadmill, before wa class. Ya'll pray for me, I'm gonna need it. :)

I am only 9lbs to a small goal that I have and I decided not to dye my hair until I get there :). Now, I have dark, almost black hair with the whitest stuff there is in a streak above my right ear, so I like to keep it colored. I use the kind that gradually wears out, not perm. It is starting to look pretty rough. I love white/gray hair on women, I just haven't had the courage to wear it on ME yet. LOL SO I have to lose those 9lbs!!! SOON!

Take care all,

addy

Ha Ha Addy, that is funny. I hope you make the 9 pounds. I color my hair also. I have gray strands that pop up here and there and I'm 36, imagine what it will be like in a few years.

Good luck

Lucy,

I started graying early, I told my husband it was his fault :sneaky:

I think it just shows earlier on dark haired people. The weirdest thing is I think that women who are totally silver, look great!! I have tried to go without coloring and then I start to panic, "I" just look old! Those other ladies look classy. I know it is probably all in my head, but I see it on my head

Went to our local support meeting for the first time since surgery last night. One lady said she had, had problems with her hair thinning but after 6-7 months she just noticed it "not" falling out anymore. YEAHHH! I am 6 months out, maybe soon it will thickin' back up. She was 2 yrs. out and had lost 110lbs. She looked great.

I sometimes wish I could just be like a man and just shave it all off, but NO I want it long. When I do lose weight and get rid of these jaws, I want a cute little pixie type cut  but for now, I want the jaw cover LOL.

Have a great day everyone,

addy

Well, I finanally made it into Onederland, I now weigh 195.5 Thank you Jesus, it's been a long haul these past 9 lbs.

Congrats Susan!! I am 5 lbs away and my scale ain't movin' either. But I will get there.

I've had 2 people recently ask me if I was done losing weight. That shocked me. I still see myself as morbidly obese, but am still technically in the obese category, about to go into 'overweight' but to get the normal BMI I have over 40 to go.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
