Hi Lisa,

Because of my insurance I had to pick a doctor from Good Sam so I went with Dr. Cussatti. What hospital are you going to? Do you have to do a pre-op diet? Fill me in on all your details.

Take care!

Lisa

Hi All:

Here's an updated list of all July banders I know to date. One of the other threads was also trying to come up with a July name and decided on 'July Butterflies.' Since it had been democratically selected and they already had a cool graphic I went ahead and stuck it in my signature forgetting it would show up immediately! :biggrin2: Lots of great suggestions, too many to try and advocate one, so I cheesed out and went with the ready made. :frown: July 2nd is definitely the most popular date. Oh the power of a four-day weekend!

July….

[June 30 fluffbgone who’s here because I like the name!]

Hi Lisa,

I'll have my surgery at North Shore LIJ Syosset Hospital. Yes, I have to do a pre-op diet for 1 week prior (liquid diet) which I'm actually happy about because it will give me a good jump start to losing weight. How about you? From what I've read on this site, most people have to do a liquid pre-op diet. Some have to do it more than 1 week. That must be hard because we also have to do the liquid post-op. For me, post-op is 2 weeks and then move to mushie foods. Tell me about your pre and post-op procedures.

Lisa :cursing:

If anyone doesn’t know how to add a graphic to their signature I thought I’d give a quick and hopefully somewhat correct tutorial one what I did through trial and error.

I did a right click on "copy" on the graphic from someone else post. (No idea how I sized it smaller - I didn't think any of those were taking. So you can right click mine if you want a smaller graphic or go back a page and copy one of the larger ones.)

Then go up to "Edit Profile" on the upper right list of personal links at the top of the page. On the new page click on "Edit Signature" (or something like that) on the left side of the page.

When your signature opens go to the edit box and do a right click and a "paste" to put your graphic in the signature area. You can test it until it comes up the way you want it and add other info you think is important. If you want to add a ticker (and I love tickers - let's me know where people stand on the weight loss and other info) go to:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
