Im here. I lost a few surprise lbs. But gained 1.5 over night. I should just not weigh myself everyday but I just cant help it. I guess I will see what tomorrow will bring.

Nobody is worse than me, I probably weigh myself 3-4 times a day, Just in case I lost 10 lbs in the last four hours,:blushing: I crack myself up........lol:lol:

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and will be attending the group meeting next week. I have had the sleep study and it showed that I have mild sleep apnea. Has anyone had mild sleep apnea and if so does the doctor require a machine before surgery? Thanks

Thanks mpador, gotta have a sense of humor...I have sleep apnea, but it was more than mild I now have mild and i quit using my machine. the doc will let u know if he wants u to have it, give Lisa a call, maybe she can give u the heads up before ur appt.....good luck...:w00t:

Hi

you guys are funny... I too weigh myself several times a day... if it gets more then 4lbs heavier than the am I freak out and got to the extreme so I don't gain the next am.

Vicki - good luck with your unfill... and I agree, the 1st year is much easier... and the harder you work the 1st year the better, because It does seem you hit plateaus much more frequest and longer after that...

Good Luck everyone about to get banded.

Hi everyone, I was catching up on reading posts and you guys are crazy funny! I watched myself on tv last night - the show was taped right before surgery. It was good to see the change, and I could see it, although my hair is long now so that was also different. I weigh myself when I feel good or know I have been really bad so I can keep it under control.

I saw Hoffman last Tuesday. I gained weight but he didn't make me feel bad. He really emphasized how much he wanted me to eat Breakfast and even said I could have sips of coffee with it if that would get me to eat. I get up have coffee and 2 Gummy Vitamins, 4 benefiber chewys and my medications and I am full! I understand I have to get my metabolism moving. He also said he would like to see me loose 10 more lbs. Hey now that I said it out loud that is not to hard. I can do that..........

I think the first year is hard. You are trying to get in a routine and learning how the band reacts and works. I am looking at my 1 year anniversary next month and I think it is finally clicking. I do see a food therapist once a month and last week she used props, a heavy chain which we used as a kind of tug of war, and I think I am finally getting it.

Dr. Hoffman was very happy that I wasn't blaming the band on my weight gain. I know the band works. It is the head that is still a little off balance.

I don't have time to get on this site often but I do enjoy all of your insights. HOpe to see everyone at the support meeting Wednesday the 16th at 6pm in the cafeteria at Buffalo General.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
