Win: I'm 7 months post op today. Im reflecting and saying to myself GIRL YOU DID THE WORK! The WORK is REAllY hard, but the benefit outweighs the hard work. Unfortunately, with the disease of obesity the work is continuous, but Feeling great in my clothing, the ability to have more energy, more movement, and no longer having to take diabetes medicine are all major wins. Today I will embark upon a new journey now that I'm about 20 plus pounds from goal weight, I have invested in my health (a very easy on the eyes ??personal trainer who will work on lifting these glutes and tighten the thighs) time to put in more work ????????#bariatricwins

I need to keep a pair of my big pants so I can do this picture when I get to goal weight!

@Chatterboxdea when I was newly post op someone in the bariatric community told me to keep some old cloths! I am so glad I did. When you've been obese for so long your mind plays tricks with you. Psychologically I think I have not came far but when I put on old cloths it is a testament. I also have to take many before and after photos.

So another win is running 5k nonstop . Since my very bad ankle injury 2.5 years ago (which caused half my weight gain to obesity), even walking was a challenge. Since losing the weight I have taken up jogging again and I can run up to 5K nonstop (my endurance can take me to 10k easily however my ankle starts to throb).

Another win, I might not end up needing that ankle surgery I've been delaying, Let's see.

The belt that I wear to work (size L) now fits around my hips on the biggest setting - it previously only JUST made it around my waist on the same setting!

Super huge congratulations. How does it feel to be classed as ' normal ? I never managed to get that low. I figured that if I had my excess skin chopped off then I might get close but ......

Lol it feels wonderful! Thank you! You've made your goal weight and then some, definitely reason to feel proud and to celebrate! Great job!

I feel someone noticing is so much better than just seeing the scale drop! Congrats!

Well I’m not quite to normal but I’m finally overweight instead of obese. It’s been a little over 3 months so I’m not complaining
