It does but it also makes me very worried since I do not handle pain well and the experiences at varied.

Talk to your doctor about your lower pain tolerance and they'll be able to help you manage it.

The pain for me was mainly from the incisions being stiff for couple days, but still able to get up though without being in to much pain.

Same. The only pain I had was in the hospital. I was sore getting in and out of bed at home (a comfortable recliner or wedge pillow helps with this), but nothing major. They sent me home with pain medication, but I never took it. And I think I only took the Tylenol a couple times. @JonBlue

I had a lot of scar tissue and some other issues that were being corrected at the same time so I have had a rough time with managing pain since the surgery. I had surgery on the 11th, and on the 12th I ripped internal stitches so yay for superglue. The only thing that has saved me is wearing the binder near constantly. But I also have a VERY low pain tolerance and take norco daily for a nonhealing back injury. So they sent me home with oxy and a muscle relaxer. I had to get the muscle relaxer refilled and am currently trying to make do on the pain meds I normally take. So far so good and I'm back at the office today. Planning on working both jobs today so we'll see how tonight goes at the bar. Luckily hubby said he'd stick around after he sets up my speakers and see how I'm feeling and if I need him to emcee instead.

All of my pain issues are mostly gone. I only feel a bit of pain if I drink too much Water. I will put my hands up in the air and stretch upwards until the water moves on. I'm happy that all of my incisions have healed up well, and I went swimming for the first time last weekend. This may sound very strange, but now, jiggling my lower belly around feels nice, kinda like I'm massaging all of those areas that are still healing inside.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
