a lot of people take over the counter ones. I've been taking Centrum (or the generic equivalent) since I had surgery seven years ago - the chewables the first year or so, then the regular tablets. If you do over the counter, you usually have to take two of them, though.

I take supermarket branded ones. One in the morning and one in the evening, after food. Always separate your doses through the day

I also get nauseous from the multivitamins. It's very common. Make sure you have a good amount of food in your stomach, and I find if I take it right before bed then lie down, it's better... I don't throw up TOO often 😕

I just started trying ProCare Health without Iron, and it MIGHT be better, but I still need the iron, so not sure what to do about that.

(also, I couldn't tolerate the chewables - they were so gross! so I started with the capsules two weeks after surgery. They're big pills, but I don't have any issues swallowing pills)

I take these once a day. once in a while it will make me nauseous. but overall no big issues.

I've tried three different brands of Vitamins, including a non-bariatric Vitamin, and they all make me sick. I think it's me.

I use the Bariatric Advantage multi chew w/o Iron (fruit flavored assorted). The first two days I thought they were gross but now I don't mind them at all. They do not make me nauseous.

I don't know if you are allowed to swallow capsules yet but I take these, and only 1 per day.

I have only had my 3 month blood work so far but everything checked out. So I can't say long term yet but they were recommended to me by someone 3 yrs post-op and her blood work is also good. I also take 1 Calcium a day.

But have you tried the lower dose of Iron? For most people it seems to be the iron that causes the issue. Obviously if you can tolerate it some iron is better than none.

It is slightly better without iron, but I've always been deficient in iron, so I need to take it with iron

They make me nausous sometimes. But its typically when i dont eat something. But best thing is to take it right before bed. That way you in bed when the nausea hits. I typically keep a ice pack as well after i take it. It helps a ton to put it on my head

I take 2 one a day Multivitamin gummies with a separate b-12, calcium/vitamin d chew, and Iron around dinner every night. Swallowing any huge pill or capsule is off putting to me. I get my labs drawn every 3-6 months and they’ve always come back fine.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
