Hi GiGi, I am so very sorry that you lost your Mother. That in itself is enough to rock anyone to their core. Having gone through that loss myself, I cannot encourage you enough to seek help from a grief counselor. Everything else will fall into place.

Of course you are. Your mother died. You should look for professional help to process your grief.

I'm sorry for the loss of you mother, Gigi. Weight-wise you've done GREAT! Be kind to yourself right now and don't focus on your weight. Try to follow the diet program as much as your grief will allow.

Grief counseling or group meetings definitely help. Our local hospice had free group meetings and a local church does as well. Sorry about your Mom, it’s such a difficult loss. I agree with the others, focus on what you need more than beating yourself up worrying about your weight.

Oh Gigi, I’m so sorry about your mom. That is a really hard thing to go through. Sounds like you are in stage 4 of grief. Google the stages of grief. Give yourself some extra care & seek help. Maybe your primary care doc can give you something to help you deal with everything. Medications don’t make our problems go away, they just help us to deal with them better.

I'm so sorry for your loss! Seek help from a therapist or grief support group, but also, take care of your body. Your Hair loss is likely made worse if you are not taking your Vitamins and if you are not getting enough Protein. Get the help you need to get back on track. Hugs!

This saddens me. I recently suffered a great loss as well. I am so sorry you had to go through this. If you are able to, I hope you can reach out to those close to you, and/or a therapist to help you with all of this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
