I started my journey in July, 2021. I'm am 47 years old female, almost 48 next week. I've been heavy all my life. I have currently lost aprox 55 lbs. Waiting on surgery approval from insurance. I was diagnosed with MS in 2012. I have issues with mobility and trying to do exercises. Guess it's more motivation also is needed. This last week I've anxiety issues with some neighbors. Doing good at not eating my emotions. Anxiety is doing a number on my body. Looking for friends and accountability. I'm from PNW Oregon.

Hello Danna, Welcome to this wonderful site and all the great advice in it. Well done on the weight loss so far..

My anxiety has improved at every pound I have lost and it feels amazing. I went away for a week by the sea with friends last week and truly never once felt anxious or that everyone was watching me. Good luck on your journey

Good on you for taking some steps towards a healthier life, and congrats on the weight loss so far! Talk to your neurologist maybe about some exercises that are tailored to your abilities or ask to work with a physical therapist.

I’m glad you’re here. I used to know many athletes in CO who had MS. I have found the weight loss has helped me tremendously with mobility (arthritis).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
