Thanks everyone! I ended up going into the ER last night and they admitted me. I had a complete small bowel obstruction (no idea how on a liquid diet). Hey all, Had RNYGB on 2/1, was cleared for full liquids yesterday. Tried a bunch of different things and by afternoon struggled with diarrhea and vomiting, and couldn't keep down clear liquids. Went into the ER, they said mild dehydration, gave me IV fluids and antinausea meds and sent me home. Today (about 5 hours ago) I tried a single creamy premier protein shake- big mistake, won't do it again- and I've had terrible sour stomach ever since. Started belching a little as well. Tums hasn't helped. Any advice for getting through this? Just wait it out? I feel like it should've passed by now, but man, is my pouch ANGRY AT ME. Hello everyone! I just had roux en y gastric bypass done yesterday and, when researching support groups, found out about you all! I am looking forward to exploring the threads, learning about all of your journeys, and gaining some insight into what is to come. A little about me: I'm 32, a mom to an almost 10 year old girl, and I have struggled with multiple chronic health issues for the better part of a decade. Medications for these problems added a bunch of my weight, and some unhealthy choices added the rest. My goals are to lose about 90-100 pounds, lower my cholesterol and triglycerides, and heal from some really bad GERD. I'm excited and ready to make it all happen!
