December Exercise

Recommended Posts

Way to go, Jess! I hear Zumba is fun. I would take that, but the chick who teaches it is not my favorite person...I cannot stand to be around people who are always gloomy and negative, and she is. (And to think she is a personal trainer! Lord, she'd train me into opening a vein after much of her attitude.) But I digress...

I'm so glad you are rockin' the cardio!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today was 180 crunches and an hour and a half on shoulders. We were supposed to to legs tomorrow, but I really want to do biceps/triceps, and my partner agreed, so I'm looking forward to that.
Ok, I did couch to 5k again, after about a month off! Walk two minutes, run 90 seconds. 28 minutes total. 25 minutes elliptical!
I'm shocked that a trainer is gloomy and negative. How can that be? Their exercising, aren't they getting the endorphin rush?????? I feel soo good after a workout....
Yeah, I know. I've never seen her teach a class...I would hope she would be peppy. But the true person that I see every day sits behind the desk, never smiling, talks in a monotone, acts holier-than-thou...so if she was peppy in a class I was taking, it would piss me off because I would know she's a big fake. (Uh-oh...are my cat claws showing? :omg:)
I agree with you, JM...I feel so good when I work out. Makes me all happy and wanting more and more!
With all you guys around, I don't think I even get a medal!!!
By the way, does anyone know if AngelNurse got rid of the cold so she could go through with surgery? Not sure if I missed a post, or if she just hasn't posted yet. I know that surgery is tomorrow 12/20...I'll be thinking about her!
JM you'll get a medal for sure! Everybody keep up the great work! We are all doing a great job!!! Someone remind me of that when I can't walk this evening! Hahahahaha! Have a great day!
Hi guys!
I couldn't get on this thing yesterday for some odd reason. Anyways, I did spin class last night. Even though I am still sore from shoveling. I seem to have pulled a groin muscle I guess..if only I would have pulled it for other reasons..lol :( Ohhh and I pulled a muscle in my right shoulder somehow doing pushups during the class. The instructor saw me do it and was worried but I'm fine really. Geeze I'm like falling apart. It's much better this morning though thank goodness.
Other good news for me. My mom last night paid for a full year family membership to the Y for me. I'm sooo happy. I told her it really is the best present you could get for me. I was lucky too I got 100 bucks off. I was awarded a little scholarship. Plus I got a free month and a cool tshirt.
All you guys are doing great! I was thinking of trying zumba too..maybe next year :confused: I hope anglenurse is doing well. I'm soooooo envious! I'm hoping next year I could get some plastic surgery too. Well gotta reach my goals first. Anyways..this is hell week for us. Stress, food everything being thrown at us. I'm not gonna watch what I eat to closely and just enjoy it. But gonna make sure I still exercise. Hopefully I'll just stay even.
Dibaby, I am hearing you about the stress week. I am sorry you pulled your groin muscle. I am feeling your pain today. I did the zumba class but had to stop 3/4 of the way. I have done something to my hip or it's my sciatica acting up. Oh I totally feel knocked down today. I have this cold and I am trying not to let it get the best of me but boy it's kicking my butt. I am getting ready to take a tylenol and lay down for a while. I did however manage to do the elliptical for 30 before zumba. I did the class for 40/60 min. Wow it kicks my butt, my heart rate got so high, I had to slow down.... Going to see the chiropractor in the morning got to get fixed. I hope you all have great workouts today! Good luck Dibaby, congrats on the y membership.
yeah my family membership would have been 740 but I got it for 640 with the little scholarship they offered me since I'm a single mom and all. The best part is that daycare is free with the membership. That alone is worth alot. Alot of gyms don't even offer that..or it's at a premium price. Still that was alot for my mom to pay out for a xmas gift. But she knows there is no way I could afford it. Anyways..it's been a great year :)
Btw I'm about 5 hours from Dayton..lol
      Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
      I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
      I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
