Do you think 49 is too old for plastic surgery?

Recommended Posts

Agree - more than half your adult life is ahead of you. And even if it was less why not be comfortable? in my mid 40’s which I am claiming until 49 incidentally. PS was for me not about being a sex symbol but literally being comfortable in my own skin. A truckload of surgery is behind me and a thigh lift to go - I would not recommend doing any of it if it is not important to you because Recovery is a real pain. As for those people well they don’t live in your skin... my spouse was aware but that was it don’t need the judgment save myself the stress!

Hi everyone, I'm still preop and aged 48, I'm being optimistic that I will lose the weight and am interested in having an arm lift, breast lift, and anything else I need lifted, lol. I've seen people say why bother over age 40 you are too old no need at that ;point in your life. Yes, I will be 49 and pushing 50 and I'm not trying to be a sex symbol but I it's something I want. Am I being vain? I know my younger years are behind me.

HELL NO THATS WHEN YOU ARE AT THE SEXIEST AND MOST CONFIDENT IN YOU LIFE IM YOUR AGE AND I FEEL IM BETTER LOOKING AND BETTER AT EVERYTHING TODAY VRS 20YEARS AGO SOME MAY NOT AGREE THAT IS HOW I FEEL IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD I SAY DO IT ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY HOPE IT TURNS OUT THE WAY YOU WISH IT WILL BE

if you want it, do it ...

i’m mid 40s and still deciding on surgery but one thing i’ve been looking at is the plastic surgery available later because i know for health reasons both physical and emotionally it’s going to be a strong likelihood. This is your life .... not anyone’s who says silly comments about being over 40 😁 wishing you well with this

Oh hell no! I'm 57 and just had a Tummy Tuck on December 11, 2019. I've had 4 c-sections, one incisional hernia after my third c-section, and lost 80 pounds. My stomach was a mess and a huge, hanging blob. I am absolutely loving my flat stomach. I've got a lot of living yet to do and when my children get married, I'm not going to have to shop for some frumpy mother of the bride dress to hide my hideous gut. Go for it!

If you are healthy enough to have plastic surgery you are never too old for it!

When my sister was having a Tummy Tuck there was a lady in her ward who was in her early 70s having breast implants. She told my sister she had always wanted them (and the face lift she had done some months before) and could finally afford them, she was healthy and active so she decided she was going for it.

There is a woman on Insta called fabandfitby50reborn051118 or similar- anyway she lost a ton of weight and is open about her surgeries and she is living her best life to look amazing but 50- she’s 49- and she looks AMAZING. Go for it. 40 isn’t old. 50 isn’t old. Look at Christi Brinkley or Halle berry. They have never looked better. You could hopefully be on earth for another 50 years!!! Might as well be snatched right?

Had my WLS at 46, then PS at 47.

The former made me feel younger, the latter is making me look it, LOL

I am 53 and having my surgery on the 14th. I am not a vain person but if I am doing all of the work to get back in shape I want to look my best. I have already told my husband that I will be getting everything put back where it belongs after the weight is gone. So go for it!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
