I seem to have this sometimes. Don’t know why or if I just didn’t notice it before. It doesn’t happen when I’m hungry necessarily though.

Mine made noises but not excessive until like the last week. It seems to be growing its voice and getting louder. It definitely does it when I get hungry but also at other times as well.

Mine doesn't cope well with artificial sweeteners. If I eat/drink too much of those (and God help me, that means all the Protein drinks) my body sounds like a 747 warming up for take - off.

Mine used to gurgle so loudly I swear it could wake the dead. It has nothing to do with hunger, the plumbing just tends to be a bit noisier after surgery

All. The. Time.

It's freaking constant and loud and I have zero control not in yoga, meetings, the movies anywhere. I'm seven years out. I'm not necessarily hungry when it happens. I now know after almost seven years what makes it worse, but no ability to stop it. If I want to really try to keep it quiet I eat a string cheese and limit my diet soda which defiantly makes it worse. Good luck I have zero good advice here, just venting, lol.

Mine only acts up when it's eating something it doesn't really like (doesn't matter how healthy it is).

Even though this is an old conversation: thanks for sharing everyone, it helps me. I feel like the stomach noises are getting worse but maybe I'm just more aware of them now that I'm working in an office and before I did freelance work from home. I'm many years post op and the noises are so embarrassing. I usually pretend they aren't happening but sometimes it's hard not to be embarrassed. I worry people think I'm belching with my mouth closed or something or sometimes the sounds are just so weird that I don't know what people even think about it, haha. I haven't figured out any pattern or rhyme or reason and my doctor's office said that there could be tons of reasons and they didn't seem to concerned about investigating it. It helps to know that I'm not the only one though!

I was just wondering about this myself! I'm only 2.5 months out, but my stomach has a musical band in it that loves to play when I'm eating! Was wondering if this is the new norm for me or if it will pass. From your post I'm thinking it's the new norm :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
