Heres the Christmas Eve meal i had at my house. I made lasagna too..... way too much lasagna. I did one small pan of ground turkey and zucchini for me and 4 huge pans the traditional way for the rest of my family. Took me 3 hours 😕 They took care of the rest of the cooking. Just like thanksgiving I stuck to the lighter foods, and avoided Desserts. Christmas day ... well thats a different story.

Zucchini Lasagna: It was my first time making it this way and I loved it! Didnt miss the Pasta too much.

Hey, when y'all look for recipes, do you look for ones with ingredients and instructions to make 4 servings on average? Or would you prefer to see recipes made as if there is only 1 or 2 portions and it's assumed it's a normal size portion which would leave leftovers for us with WLS? For instance a recipe where you cook 2 chicken breasts knowing that you will only eat 1/2 of the breast for the first meal and either your normie hubs/wife will eat the other full breast, leaving a leftover half breast for you?

So in that example the recipe would be for 2 servings.

Woke up feeling pretty guilty this morning. Christmas day wasnt too good. I spent it at my boyfriends moms house and it was almost impossible to avoid the bad, yet oh so good stuff lol.

I haven't had a drink since surgery but my streak ended yesterday. I was given shots, glasses of wine, and mixed drinks all night. When I tried to reject, they would insist and give it to me anyways. food choices/options weren't too good either. I forgot to take a before pic but on my plate was Portuguese cod cakes, general tso, broccoli i picked out of a bowl of rice, a piece of deep fried beer battered cod, and pepper jack cheese and olives.

As far as desserts go, they were all flour based. I managed to avoid the orange cake but I CHOSE to have these 4 little walnut cups his mom makes. You can kinda see them in the rumchata shot pic towards the left. They were delicious but all i kept thinking about was the amount of flour I was having. I know one day doesn't do damage but I was paranoid.........I'm working on this. Oh and I also had a bite of panetone, a piece of dark chocolate filled with johnny walker whiskey, and lots of cheese and pepperoni Snacks.

This is not from Christmas but a holiday party at work from the 20th. I threw it in because I still feel guilty about eating at and I feel like i need to confess or something. Its cheesecake topped with dulce de leche and condensed milk. This thing was wayyyyy too sweet for me but everyone devoured it in seconds. Since I'm in a small office it was noticeable that I didn't eat mine. One of my coworkers kept making fun of me for not eating it throughout the entire party until i eventually gave in and ate most of it... :(

I never look at the serving size. Im picky when it comes to choosing recipes so if i avoided ones that made a large serving I wouldnt be able to find a recipe at all lol.

Now that i think about it, it would be nice to have small portion recipes.

Here was Christmas Brekky B/As. I had a small pouch day.

I made radish browns (pan roasted without fat, then added EVOO spray at the end) and made my take on Tony Bourdain's soft scrambled eggs (egg + Grk yogurt + herbs) and turkey polish sausage which sounds like an oxymoron + avo/tom salad + Royal Riviera Pear with cinnamon. (and a bloody mary...shhhhh) . Ended up eating this as B1 and B2. :) Yes it WAS a Christmas Miracle!

I don't specifically look for specific sized serving recipes. Whatever looks good i'll give it a try, multiply or divide the ingredients depending on how much I want to make. If there is too much, there is always the freezer....

So recipes for 4 being standard are good?

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
