Hey everyone! I made a chicken breast with roasted tomatoes, half slice of low fat American cheese, and roasted spinach. (That’s a 1/3 cup of spinach) Before & after:

I'm so proud and amazed of everyone who posts. Not just the food choices, naughty, fun, good and better ,

But

Also the willingness to be open and honest about it.

So please keep it coming!

(I wish I had pics from years ago on the amounts and choices I would eat compared to now, enlightening)

@Orchids&Dragons I know you said you don't feel as much restriction w the RNY, but it doesn't look like that from the amount you ate!

Umm...what?!...hospital? Unless, of course, you just love hospital cuisine and make special trips for meals, are you alright?

Seriously...

When I saw the before/after, I felt like it was a "can you find 5 differences between the pics" game!😂 It took a minute to see what was actually eaten because I originally thought she uploaded the same pic twice!😊

I'm ok, my Hematologist is also an Oncologist (I think) so I get my blood work done in a Cancer Treatment Center Portion of a hospital. Then waited around for the appt, results, hungry, more scheduling etc. Just a long day of being a patient.

But I'm only 5 weeks post-op. With the sleeve I could maybe have eaten one shrimp at 5 weeks, yesterday I had 3-4 shrimp, 2 slices of chicken and some noodles! No foamies, no stomach ache, nothing. Scares the bejesus out of me.

OMG, that (and the focaccia bread) was always my favorite meal at MG long before I figured out my sensitivity to gluten. Looks like you ate a reasonable amount and I am glad some of your esophagus issues are better. Sounds like the surgery was just what you needed. And I just noticed you are only 11# from goal.....WOO HOO!!

Maybe its different because there was not a lot of space between surgeries for you so you have more of a rolling journey vs someone starting over after a few years?

So far, no change to esophagus issues (and didn't expect any) although if it becomes less inflamed (I'm on Carafate 3x/day) maybe the food will go down easier.

My concern is that it was a reasonable amount because I purposefully stopped eating and put the rest in a box. However, I felt absolutely no restriction and could have kept eating (and seriously considered it.)

I'm eating 1/2 an apple now for Breakfast. Never could have done that with the sleeve - not at 5 weeks, not at 8 months!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
