Confessional - Lets post our cheats/confessions/etc so others can see that we are all human

I figured it would be nice to have a section where we could just confess to some of the potentially dumb things we've done, pre or post op. Just so others can see we are all human. I want this to be kept as civil as possible, where people can own up to things without anyone else chiming in with anything negative, we all know what we did wasn't "right" but I'm sure we ALL have done something we shouldn't have.

I'll start.

I cheated on my pre-op diet a few times. I also like to find loop holes and exploit the crap out of them. I drank beer for a week+ on my pre-op, because it didn't say I couldn't. I only stopped after I was forced to, because my wife asked my surgeon and of course they said "no"... boo. I also ate a whole slice of French Meat Pie at my Dad's 60th birthday luncheon.

I cheated on my post-op diet/puree stage a bit too. I ate rice cakes and protein chips or other veggie chips. Not a lot, but it happened. I "pureed" a steak and cheese sandwich once. I ate a few fried ravioli on my puree stage as well.

This past weekend, I had a beer. My wife and I took my parents out to dinner at a local casino, it's Restaurant week, so we found a good looking location and went out to eat, part of the deal was that you got a draft beer with your meal. So, I had a shipyard summer ale with my grilled chicken parm sandwich (only ended up eating 3 bites of the chicken and none of the bread).

I did all that thus far and nothing bad happened.

I understand the changes are to ensure we stick to our diets, but understanding that we are all human and WILL either slip up or just stray from our diets on purpose like I did. It's good to see that, it's possible to still live and be able to enjoy a few things we "shouldn't" without any negatives happening.

So, what's your WLS confession?

I hated quitting coffee. I managed for a few weeks but now that I’m back at work, I was so fuzzy-headed without it. I’ve been taking a sugar free mint with the caffeine of half a cup of coffee against medical advice. I feel so much better!
Almost three months out and I swear after working out I can eat a cow. Well, you know...like a miniature cow. It’s weird how I think I’m eating so much and then I look back at my plate and I’ve only eaten half a piece a chicken. You would have thought I was recovering from a buffet dinner. Anywho, I had chipotle salad with no rice and subway wrap this week. Took me forever to finish both meals. Like a four day event. However, it broke my stall and I’m down 7 pounds in a week!!
Meal prepping is becoming frustrating to me because I waste a lot of the food I make. I literally forget to eat some days or just don’t feel like it...the struggle.

Being warm again... might be worth it!

You know how much tortue it is Looking at all your diet pictures here and over on Food before and After and still,on my Stage 2A diet, all liquids in perpetuity. Makes me feel like the cold starving Match ? morning,in the Warm Toy Store Window! Now down to 281 from a High Weight of 355 but I have been in ?of ?Hades,to earn MY PLACE, but I am not leaving the W,L, battle until I am a WINNER ALSO!

SO I am a big baker. I love love love baking. Me + Sugar don't = friends so I normally don't eat what I bake . I love watching everyone else eat it though.

Except it's now fall. This means: Pumpkin spice, Apple pies, and for me: Cream Cheese. Cream cheese is the bane of my existence. I love that stuff. Honestly I could eat a block of it. So as I sit here making my cream cheese stuffed pumpkin bundt cake I am mentally calculating how I'm going to need to work out for an extra 100 hours to accommodate all of my "just a little taste to make sure" moments. ?

I can resist the halloween candy. I can resist soda, and high carby foods. But cream cheese just calls to me! November is definitely going to be a slow weight loss month if I don't watch it!

Lol on my 2 week liquid diet preop I licked a dorito. I HAD TOO....just licked. Since my surgery 5 months post op Its kinda hard to cheat since i still can only get about 3 bites of anything. But I guessa bite of my son's recess cup would be cheating. But it was a small bite. Lol

Yesterday when my roommate wanted Cannoli cream, I bought the SkinnyCow high protein ice cream that has 5 extra grams of sugar in it than Halo Top or Enlightened. I wanted Rocky Road and they were the only one's to have it! I didn't get sick, but I won't buy it again because it wasn't very good. :c

I want a bite of McRib so bad but I'm scared...LOL

Twism I tried some McDonald’s and I’ve come to conclusion that their oil is harsh. I can only eat like 5 fries and two nuggets and it hurts bad.
Maybe they don't clean and clear it often? IDK my vice is usually Wendy's not Mickey D!???

I bought a small coffee from Starbucks yesterday. I could only drink about 3 sips but it was the best 3 sips of coffee ever. lol

I met with my nutritionist today and asked her when I can start having coffee again and she said not until I'm drinking 64 oz a day and then adding 16 additional ounces for every cup of coffee I drink. I can't even make it up to about 50oz of water a day.... so no more coffee for me for a while :(

I found sugarfree mints with the caffeine of half a cup of coffee. I can't wake up all the way without at least one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DQRFNRD/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
