Amount of Weight Lost in 3 months post-op

Recommended Posts

How much weight did you lose in the first 3 months post-surgery?

I had the sleeve in December and have lost 41 lbs since surgery (60 total). My doctor thinks I should have lost more than that in 3 months. Just curious to see how others did.

I’ve lost 43 lbs. Saw my surgeon yesterday. She was very pleased. You’re doing great. In another 3 months at the same rate, you’ll be 82 pounds less! Sounds like your surgeon is not being realistic. We all don’t drop 12 - 20 pounds/month. Your rate of loss is safe and consistent. Keep up the great work! [emoji259]

I feel a huge difference. More energy and ability to do so much more that I couldn’t before and able to keep up with my 3.5 yr old.

Oh my gosh, that's awesome!! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!! LOL I hope I lose at least 40 lbs by the 3 month mark. I'm afraid it might be less. (I've lost 17 lbs in this first month.) But progress is progress! :D

HW - 228

SW - 202

3 months - 170

so I am 32 at 3 months and 58 overall. I have struggled with getting my protien in and so I have had several stalls but I am ok with it because I am feeling 100% better than I have in years. Everyone is different and my doctor says as long as you are loosing something its better than nothing. Keep up the good work.

Around 60lb (90lb total). My doctor was very concerned that I was loosing too fast. She said this can cause excess muscle loss and issues with Vitamins. My muscle/fat loss ratio is still good buy I'm waiting on my blood test results for the Vitamin issue.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
