logicwand got a reaction from Kris77 in Questions about breast lift and implantsAfter sleeve surgery, I thought my mom was going to have a conniption at the thought of my getting a boob job. "Oh pleeeeease don't do that! You don't want huge knockers! It'll look so horrible on you. You don't want to be a sex symbol or a porn star! What are you thinking?! You're body is perfect the way it is!!"
Well, in some ways I agreed with her. No, I don't have any desire to be a porn star. However, my breasts look deformed, so how can I get implants to have them look natural and not overdone? GREAT question. And honestly, the doctor I chose had so many good before and after results, that I trusted what he recommended. And he told me "You need between 320 and 350 ccs for your body type". Ha! There it was and I didn't really question it. (I got 320 in right and 350 in left because I had different sized boobs to start! And I was roughly a 36B before surgery.) Liquid volume doesn't equate out well with cup sizes but it would roughly be a full C / D and that made me a bit nervous. HOWEVER. I continued to read reviews online about how many women regret not going bigger. So I thought, you know, I will take his recommendation and I know it will be great. And you know what? I love them. Not too big and not too small. I think they're literally perfect for me.
Now here's the OTHER thing I've noticed now that I actually HAVE them. I can make them look super small or I can make them look HUGE. It's all on what bra you wear and what outfit/shirt you have on. If you want to look modest for work or what have you, throw on a spandex bralette that provides lift but keeps them tucked in. If you want to look big and sexy? Throw on a push up bra and wear a LOW cut t-shirt. It's crazy but my friends told me they never would have noticed my boobs unless I told them about the surgery.
Here's a few pics so you get the idea of how different they can look depending on how you're manipulating the girls. LOL These pics are ALL post op BL/BA.

logicwand got a reaction from DaisyChainOz in Breast Lift with ImplantsBoobs take a long time to heal...just like our stomachs. The scars are looking better and they have really dropped and fluffed. Just wanted to post an update. Another before and after. This BL/BA was like the crown on top of sleeve surgery. I highly recommend if you're considering it. I have even more confidence and I didn't think that was possible after the sleeve. Lol

logicwand got a reaction from DaisyChainOz in Breast Lift with ImplantsMy weight finally stabilized around 145 (original goal weight), so I went forward with surgery for a breast lift with implants (Dr. Ciaravino in Houston is amazing). I lost 72 lbs total after the sleeve but added approximately 1.5 lbs of implants (Mentor MemoryGel Smooth Round High Profile 350cc). I cry when I see these photos side by side. I got sleeved on 2/28/2018 and got these boobs 9 months later on 11/30/2018. What a year.

Hey Jay453!
I experienced the same thing....I kept my weight off for 8 years. I went from 272 lbs and a size 22 to my lowest weight of 139 and a size 2. I maintained that for about 6 years then hit 50 years old and oh boy has it been a struggle! I was very disciplined for all of those years and then got a little lax and gained 27 lbs and 3 pants sizes. I've started working on getting back on track, made some changes and am down 13 lbs and a pant size. Have 14 more to go to be back at my 145 and size 2-4!
I had to find new things that worked since things that I did pre 50 doesn't work anymore!

logicwand reacted to Sosewsue61 in I REALLY want to get my breasts done, but also want to get pregnantI would wait for all plastics until after childbearing is over... maybe arm lift, but that would be it, anything else is going to get stretched out by pregnancy and implants can cause plugged milk ducts even if you don't nurse. I encourage you to breastfeed however as it is superior nutrition and helps the uterus to go back into shape faster, and the most endearing relationship bonding with a baby ever. Good luck.

logicwand reacted to gahvi in Your Feet & Shoe Size ?I’m just 6 months post op and I went from a size 11 Wide to a 10 regular. It’s good that I’m not restricted to the Wide sizes as there’s a bigger variety of shoes I can now choose from. -
logicwand reacted to jess9395 in Your Feet & Shoe Size ?Can’t tell you why @summerset but mine did! I went from a 9.5 to an 8.5
Perhaps all the weight pushing down on them made them spread in width and length both? Not sure!
I also lost at least half a inch in height. My doc said both are common. Maybe I lost weight from the bottoms of my feet? -
logicwand reacted to MG1776 in Your Feet & Shoe Size ?I was a size 12 pre-op and now down to a 10.5-11...yes, even your feet will lose fat.

logicwand reacted to aggietop in Your Feet & Shoe Size ?I’m 2 1/2 years out. I wore size 12 before the surgery and now I comfortably wear a 10.5. My feet were swollen and hurt a lot before the weight loss and now they look and feel normal.

@Vanessa Blair—I’m 8 months post VSG and I was recently discussing this same issue with my therapist. I feel like I have no emotions, very cold. I also happen to be going through a divorce. She thought it might be because I’m in my all business, super confident mode between my weight loss & marriage. Unfortunately, someone close to my son recently committed suicide and I found out I can cry and feel very sad. It was just kind of buried inside me for a while. Long answer, hope it helps... -
logicwand reacted to gabybab in When did you get blood tests? My PA told me they only do labs if there is problems. I'm like what? Will probably insist at my 6 month checkup. Love my PA though.

logicwand reacted to mousecat88 in When did you get blood tests?I got checked at 3 months and 6 months. Then at 12 months, and then annually after that.
I did have a two week and one month visit, though.
I actually had a lot more visits because I had complications, but the two week and one month was regularly scheduled to check incision sites, etc.

logicwand reacted to Frustr8 in When did you get blood tests?Min3 is 3 months, 6 months and then if things check out perfect, yearly the rest of your thinned- down life! I was getting weekly blood draws while I had my PICC line and was on TPN, so they used the appropriate ones to satisfy the quota. Mine were drawn at the hospital? -
logicwand reacted to 2Bsmaller18 in When did you get blood tests?I don't go back to the surgeon until the 6 month appointment. They didn't say anything about blood work.
When did you get labs drawn to check for deficits? Is it annually after that?
