Can we talk about boobs and bras?

Recommended Posts

At my age, they're already sagging--I can only imagine what they'll look like if I manage to lose another hundred pounds or so (which I hope to do). I'd probably have a boob lift if I had the money, but I'm not expecting I will. Ah, well.

I also love Glamorize bras. They are also reasonable priced.

I’m 3 months (almost 4) post op sleeve surgery and my once nice busty 45 Gs are now very saggy. That was definitely the first thing I noticed once I started losing weight fast.

I’m scheduled for wls on the 28th and my cup really runneth over so I’m looking forward to growing smaller (44H) Currently I get my sports bras from Lane Bryant who of course isn’t cheap they make you pay like you weigh. But they offer excellent support and lots of sexy options too. Thanks for the links so when I do drop sizes I’ll be able to replenish my supply affordably.

My boobs seem to be the first bit of me to shrink. It's super depressing. Right now I have boobs with no va-va-voom and a big fat belly!!! Think ginger Santa Claus! Ugh! Hope the rest of me catches up soon!

I couldn't open the link. I guess I have to have a zulily account.

I'm looking for a good sports bra. I'm a saggy D cup.

Sports bras have no support for me and the post surgery boobs. I've been googling. I still haven't found one that I can run in without the girls bouncing. I've tried wearing two sports bras. As much as I dislike underwire it's needed. I dislike T back bras.

You shouldn’t have to have an account! Try going to zulily.com and looking.

Have you tried Panache? Ultimate Jog Bra? Brooks Moving Comfort Juno bra? Those are my go to when I run, both pre lift and post.

Panache comes in underwire. Also I actually like the Victoria Secret knockout. It’s front close underwire and the only VS bra I can stand. I didn’t find it til post lift/aug but it does well now with my 32DDD’s

I’ve already lost one cup size and not even a third of the way there. Im very tall and hippy at a normal weight. Im saving for implants already as I know my breasts will be gone.

That being said, I don’t skimp on spending money on bras. Good support is priceless!

Oh and I know many people who swear by Enell if all else has failed, it’s kind of a bra of last resort LOL! I’ve never tried it myself.

My nipples have gotten smaller and get chafed on long runs from rubbing against my shirt. Actually get little scabs around the tip. Still rather hairy. Now my pecs are rock-solid, though, and no more man-boobs. Never wore a bra before. Oh... is this for girls only?

@Oregondaisy yes, I can identify with you. I don't know your age, but for me, age DEFINITELY has something to do with losing the boobs and the sag syndrome. Plus, for me, after going from 334 lbs to 190 lbs, I am going to have saggy bits.

I am 46. If I had to guess, most of these well-endowed busty ladies are probably under 40 years old.

Anyway I went from a 48 DD to a 38 C, and I literally have to pick up the droopy boobs and put them in the cups by hand. My bras are trying their best, but my boobs are a droopy mess!! Maybe I need to go to a B cup, which is bonkers, because I don't think I've been that small since 6th grade. Even in 8th grade I totally filled out a C cup even though I only weighed 125.

It's hell getting old!

Good luck to all the busty babes, I think as you lose more weight, it will come off in the boobs as well.

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣
