How about you? Are you getting all your liquids and protein in?

Yea i haven't had any problems. Honestly my biggest issue has been boredom. I'm in recovery at home and just so bored. I'm a single guy so all I have to do is watch tv and go on the internet. I left today and walked around home depot cause im just finishing up remodeling my house. But it's just so weird to only be able to drink liquids. My surgeon didn't make me do the liquid pre op diet so all liquid is very different/difficult for me.

The gas pains were miserable!! Half in the morning half in the afternoon. They kept telling me walk and it will help. So that's what I did lol

Yes I had mine on the 5th and the gas pains the 1st day were terrible. Even with the Gas-X strips I had. The only other pain I really had was on the right side of my abdomen when I would stand up in place. Not bad while walking but standing in place was no bueno. Today's day 5 and I have literally no pain at all. Haven't weighed myself yet. Gonna wait till the 1 week Mark.

I can't help but weigh myself lol I enjoy seeing the scale go down everyday this past week. Because I know eventually it will slow down. So I'm enjoying it right now

I am at 8 am tomorrow. Getting up at 4:30 am. We will all do great.

Good luck too all 3 of you.

My surgeon said at the final interview (Monday 9th) that he'll be doing my gastric sleeve op "first thing" on Thursday morning. "Expect the hospital to tell to arrive by 6:00 or 6:15am for prepping for a 7:45am/8:00am start in theatre," he told me.

That makes me pleased that I am, proverbially, 'first cab off the rank' in his five or six hour day. I'll be getting him at his freshest ... before he's been on his feet too long.

It's 10:50am Tuesday now in eastern Australia ... so, in all likelihood, I'll be a NEW MAN in about 46 hours.

My surgery is 2 weeks from today (10/23). My dr didn’t put me on any pre-op diet .. just the day before. But I want to do one anyway. I’m trying to do an all liquid day but I can’t. I start off with a protein drink... then water.. then by lunch I’m starving. How do you all get past the hunger? I can’t imagine the strength you all have to do the all liquids for 1-2 weeks. Can I ask what your trick is? Tomorrow I’m going to try again to do all liquids... protein drinks, broth, water, etc. I have a busy day at work so maybe that’ll help.

I enjoy reading all of your stories.. it’s easing my nervousness. :)

Water, water and more water. By day 3 it gets better. hang in there!

Okay, everyone my day is tomorrow 10/11. I’m having the sleeve and gallbladder removal. Scared and excited at the same time. I been on clear liquids for 14 days and feel great. I keep thinking if I can do 14 days of clear liquids, then why couldn’t I be faithful to any other diet plans and not have this surgery...[emoji848][emoji848]smh

That's great Sosewsue61. My preop appt is next Wednesday, the 18th. Not sure what that will consist of but regardless I'm excited to begin.

Day 8 of preop diet and I'm down 10.2 lbs....1 week to go. Pre-surgical testing tomorrow morning. Good luck to all on pre op and congrats to all post op. Can't wait to join you on the losers bench next week around this time :)

@jcb123 and @Beckik triplets cuz I am the 24th as well.

Pre-op starts 14th.

Me too! Day 1 of pre-op for me today.

Just called and got my surgery time for tomorrow. They’ve got me scheduled for the first surgery of the day at 7:30. I’m happy to know it’s so early and I’ll get to get it over with without sitting around feeling anxious all morning.
