  2. Doing great since surgery 10/10. Highest weight 210, presurgery weight 193 current weight 144 lost 64 total, 49 pounds since surgery.
  3. I had wanted the duodenal switch. My pcp said no way. He was convinced that malabsorption was horrible. We talked for awhile and when I told him that I had been dieting without a good result (always gained it back no matter what) for 52 years and this is what I wanted. He then said he would only refer for a sleeve. I said great and 10 weeks later I was sleeved. If your doctor won't cave I agree a new md is the way to go. My doctor is in his 70s and close to retirement so if he hadn't caved I would have gone elsewhere.
  4. I had planned the sleeve and also had a fatty liver. He did a biopsy at surgery and said I didn't have cirrhosis. My doctor said no problem the weight loss and dietary changes will cure the fatty liver problem. I also don't drink. He said it was totally diet caused.

  19. I guess every doc is different. But my sleeve won't let me get in that much. His goal is 40-60 grams of protein and that is only 320 calories via protein shakes. I am lucky to get 300 calories a day. I am feeling fine. Yes that includes liquids but only taking in sugar free liquids doesn't add many calories. It takes me an hour or two to get an 11 ounce protein shake in.
  20. The bottom is my 3week postop pic. I hope I posted properly. Thanks everyone for your support.?
  21. wow. You are taking in 1200 calories a day at 3 weeks????? My doctor encourages 400-600 calories a day and I get it only 300 to 400 so far and I am 19 days post. Maybe the calories are too high.
  22. how do I upload pics on my desktop or app? Any help would be appreciated. Judy
  23. how do I put 2 pics side by side? How do I even upload pics? Want to give a before and after pic also. Judy
