Tomorrow October 9th!! So nervous !!

Me too! I can't believe the 9th is tomorrow. I am all packed, and childcare plans have been made, medication is all picked up for afterwards as well as the foods and drinks I'll need. House is all cleaned. I'm on clear liquids today and had to drink milk of magnesia. My goodness it was disgusting. I think I've VSG nested as much as I can! Now it's just time to get it done!

Pre-op starts 14th.

My surgeon's office called, and moved my date up a week. I'm now scheduled for 10/17! Started the liquids today.

Set for October 30th. Start pre-op on the 16th.

Yes my gastric sleeve surgery is Oct. 10 I have been on pre-op for the last 5 days of 7 but I was so hungry I put bake chicken in my mouth chewed it up and spit it out but for the most part I'm excited

4 days post surgery and no regrets! It is kind of hard for me to get all my liquids in. I feel great- just still really sore.

Thursday was your surgery ? Me also. I can't believe how good I feel since its only been 4 days. The strictly liquid and protein shakes haven't given me any negative issues yet. How are you doing with your intake ?

I am really having to work at it to get my liquid and proteins in. I don't think I am quite making it but close.

I am feeling better everyday. I think having the hernia repair and gallbladder removal made my pain little worse, but again if I had to do it again I would!!

Encouraging words for me for tomorrow... couldn’t sleep well this past week, up at all hours of the night, then crash come 7 pm the following evening and the cycle continues.
I’m just hoping it’s my bodys way of prepping for tomorrow and that once back home (I’m outpatient) I’ll crash and actually sleep through the night!!

How about you? Are you getting all your liquids and protein in?

Good luck Njgal! It will all be worth it.

Had my surgery on 10/4. I am currently down 14.9lbs. My surgery was not bad at all. When I woke up I literally looked 9months pregnant again because of how much air they pumped into me. That was by far the worst out of the whole experience. I slept pretty much the whole day due to the meds they were giving me. But was able to get up and walk a little. The pain from the surgery didn't hurt or the incisions. The next day they took me off of iv fluids and I was able to walk 3.5 miles that day. And felt much better. Everyday things are easier and gas has started to almost go away. I'm getting about 40oz of fluid and 60 grams of protein in now.
