Carbonated Beverages?
I would say take a sip. Just my opinion. Just a sip. Because I think if you do you may see that you no longer have that taste for it and your craving might be gone? That's what happened to me. But I understand that everyone is different.

Carbonated Beverages?
Bad habits are hard to break but you can. I am 4 months post surgery. I loved diet soda prior to surgery. For whatever reason I have had a sip here or there but it doesn't taste the same. I could careless about it now. I love Crystal light, unsweetened tea and diet lemonade from chic fil la!

2 week Post op Liquid diet.
I feel your pain. My surgery was oct 5th as well. I can start eating soft foods 23rd after my dietician meeting. I am sick of liquid only! I sometimes feel a little hungry. I think that it is only because I want something other than liquid.

Did doctor office call to check on you?
So it does seem to be the norm for someone to call. Not sure why my hospital or dr office have never called. Doesn't seem like good practice.

Did doctor office call to check on you?
I agree that we have the intelligence enough to know if we need to call a dr- I am just use to someone calling. It is time consuming but lot of medical provides call. My husband just recently had outpatient hamstring surgery. His dr office called the next day to check o him. when I had both of my children. The hospital called both times.

Did doctor office call to check on you?
One week and a day post surgery. Find it odd that my doctor's office nor the hospital has called to check on me. Isn't that the norm that someone calls to see how you are doing?maybe it's not.

Calling all October sleevers!!
What in the world! Why didn't you get sent home with some good meds! My dr prescribed me some liquid pain meds that I filled before surgery. It knocked my pain out quick! You should call and ask for something stronger.

Clothes for hospital and after
I guess it is different for everyone but I only stayed in the hospital 1 night and I was sleeved, gall bladder removed and hernia repair. I stayed in hospital gown until I was released because my iv came out literally about an hour before I went home. My dr told me rule of thumb for staying extra night is- when the nurses are doing something for you that you can't do yourself you need stay otherwise time to check out.

Clothes for hospital and after
Don't over pack for the hospital! You change as soon as you get there so wear home what you wear to the hospital. Tooth brush and tooth paste already provided for me and in my room. The hospital that I was at also provided me with socks to go with hospital gown so I didn't need slippers. I stayed one night I showered once I got home the next day. I did freshen up with soap and wash clothes provided. So all I really needed was chap stick, brush, hair band, cell phone and charger.
