I'm feeling on the fence these last couple of days...it was such a let down to get pushed back 2 weeks...I feel a little like to just cancel...[emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

Whaaat they pushed it back ? Ugh, I would be so disappointed but keep your chin up! You didn't come all this way for nothing !

I completed all but one of my insurance carrier requirements and all of my surgeon requirements on the 12th. The only thing I have left is to get my psych evaluation results on the 19th. I'm told that it takes up to two weeks to get carrier approval, and once I get the OK it's another two weeks to get my surgery scheduled. Looking at August from the sounds of it [emoji3]

I'm cash paying because of a low bmi, so I have found my surgeon and I am definitely getting sleeved in August. I had my consult, blood work, 1/2 dietician class, and my psych eval and EKG medical clearance is this Wed. Afterwards, one more visit with dietician and Dr and I'm on the books! Excited, scared, moody, all of what you guys have stated but I'm not backing out. This is a life change I must make for my health and for me.

WOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My surgery just got changed to August 1st. Now I have to hurry and get my college work and exams done before then............this will allow me 2 1/2 weeks before I begin my last semester of college............I may even get more than a Popsicle for my birthday on the 29. :) Less time to research and cruise on this site but......so happy I will get a little re-coup time. I'll check in tonight for some more reading! Back to school work. I'm a almost 54 year old starting a new career. I worked in food all my life and owned my own place for over 23 years. My life revolved around food...............this is definately going to be a journey but, one I'm looking forward to.

I'm also scheduled for August 1st! Unfortunately though, my birthday is the 19th, so I will only just be allowed to eat mushy foods. Not much of a bday celebration, but I excited for the weight to come off!

Thanks Dizzy, Newbie, and all. I'm really excited. Just got home from my last Dr. Visit, and paying hospital and anesthesia (self-pay). I think I'll be ok with the phasing of food. I'm just happy it will be a month before my birthday. I don't want to be feeling bad in front of company.....we always Celebrate birthdays. Plus, college starts back the 17th, so I will have 2 weeks to recoup if I have a rough start. I can't wait to see how we all do. I'm really looking forward to getting off a lot of meds and getting some energy after a bit. I do know I will probably feel wiped out for a month or two but..........that shall pass.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
