It’s amazing how much animosity there exists on bariatric pal these days. Whatever happened to just being chill? [emoji4] anyway.
Just wanted to update, I am still doing really well.

Welcome back! Good to have you back. I was following your posts pre-surgery and have a new understanding and appreciation for them now that I’m post-op.

Yes. It’s harder to understand post op. It takes being at a certain place to relate I think. ;) o hope you are doing great!

I have rejected dieting because after my weight loss I realized I was just as miserable and unhappy as prior to my weight loss. Living a life centered around food, dieting, weight and body imagine was taking all the joy out of my world. I didn't feel at ease- I felt the same amount of stress and anxiety around food as before weight loss- maybe more So now that I was thin and felt I had more to lose if I regained. Basically I was still stuck in an eating disorder and diet mindset and it was ruining my life.

I feel like this. I am 12 weeks post op (sleeve) I've lost only 28lbs. I'm ALWAYS worried about what to eat, when to eat it, how to eat it etc. It's making me stressed and very unhappy. The worst part is I've barely lost 5 lbs in the last EIGHT weeks. So all the stress and worry isn't even working for me. I'm tired of it.

Thanks everyone. Things have been a bit harder for me lately. I’m struggling with my digestion... I’m not sure if maybe my stricture has come back? And dumping has been worse. I don’t know. I’m making some adjustments to meal size and frequency so we shall see.

I’m still happy I found Intuitive Eating and would never go back to dieting ever but it’s hard to mesh it in with the physical changes I have due to surgery. I just don’t have a normal stomach and never will again.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to adapt sometimes, isn't it? Let's work within the boundaries our bodies set us.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
