August Sleevers-How are you doing??
I hit 140lbs lost today, 74 since my surgery August 8, 2017. I stalled for about 4 months but last week added some carbs to my diet and upped my calories a bit and I started to lose again -- almost two pounds this week already. I think the amount of exercise I am doing was putting me in starvation mode with the low carb diet I've been following. I'm having a few issues, can't eat meat or dense foods like broccoli without pain, still have chronic constipation. I'm getting scoped, Upper GI and Colonoscopy in a week or so to see if there is anything wrong or if it's just my tummy is a slow healer. I also have been having hypoglycemic (extremely low blood sugar) episodes if I eat sugar, which thankfully I don't do very often. Despite those few bumps in the road, I'm very happy with how things are turning out. I have more energy than I've ever had. I'm feeling wonderful and couldn't be more pleased with the reduction in pain in my back, which is why I opted for surgery in the first place. Is Vital Wheat Gluten the same as eating bread?
LOL, yeah that's in there too but it's got its own paragraph.

Is Vital Wheat Gluten the same as eating bread?
I saw "no bread, no rice, no potatoes" in my surgeon's handbook but there was never an explanation for why. So I just assumed it meant every "kind" of bread product.

Is Vital Wheat Gluten the same as eating bread?
I am three months post op, in an effort to eat less meat I bought some Field Roast patties. I just read the label and realize they are made from Vital Wheat Gluten. I'm not supposed to eat bread products and I assume it's the wheat or gluten in it that's not good for the Sleeved tummy. Would eating these be the same as eating a bread product?

August 14 peeps
I'm down 36lbs since my August 8th surgery. I was stalled for a VERY long time. I started a very strict Bariatric Keto diet plan this past week and I've lost 5lbs in the last 4 days. No more than 20g of carb, moderate fat and protein. Hw: 315 SW: 248 CW: 212 GW: 150

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
Went on a trip of a lifetime and was miserable most of the time because my feet hurt and I couldn't keep up to doing everything I wanted.

Leaving dieting behind
I feel like this. I am 12 weeks post op (sleeve) I've lost only 28lbs. I'm ALWAYS worried about what to eat, when to eat it, how to eat it etc. It's making me stressed and very unhappy. The worst part is I've barely lost 5 lbs in the last EIGHT weeks. So all the stress and worry isn't even working for me. I'm tired of it.

How long has your three week stall lasted?
I've been the same weight since week 4, now at week 8. Beyond frustrated.

Iron pills make me burp and has terrible aftertaste.
I use feramax powder, 1/4 teaspoon in some liquid and it's grape flavoured. No burping so far.

What are you eating in terms of calories/carbs/protein?
When my Nut found out that I was swimming three times a week she said I needed "more" carbs and put my number at 50-70 (for my average 800 calories a day).
