Boobies...ugh

Recommended Posts

The only thing I don't like about having lost almost 100 pounds is that my boobs are like empty, deflated sacs. Though not perky, they were bountiful and full. But now, a size 38 DD (and I'm good with that, down from a 44-DD/44-DDD), they are empty, flat and saggy. Oh well. There's still enough to keep me and him happy! (I'm the only one commenting about them sagging, so I think I'll stop mentioning it. Why point out a negative?)

If you somehow keep your breasts, and lose most of the rest...ka-pow! Just rock it.

I'm 54 and had a major breast reduction at age 15 due to horrible backaches (not to mention the constant teasing by older guys in high school). Since that time, my boobs have shrunk or grown as I've lost or gained weight.

Right now I'm suffering from a rare scalp condition called Lichen Planopilaris that causes permanent scarring alopecia with inflammation around affected hair follicles. It mostly affects middle-aged adults as distinct Patches of Hair loss.< /span>

I could care less about my boobs...I want to keep my hair!

I'm honestly scared to lose weight in my boobs. Not because I can't afford it size wise - I'm a DDD, but because they're already shaped like saggy watermelons (nipples point to the ground) and the more weight I lose in them, the more they'll look like inflated animal balloons that have been left in a hot car too long. emoji52.png

I have never lost cup size. This time the weight loss has been very rapid. My cup size is the same and they are looking pretty good. However, my chest circumference has gone down. I am wearing jogging bras until things settle a bit. I do have that attractive uni boob look, but I am so happy about the weight loss, I could care less.

Oh boy. This will definitely be me down the road. Oh well. I'm married and happy. I'll deal with it! Are "wonder bras" still a thing?

I've always been huge....when I was thin, I was a DDD. I've always wanted a reduction but because I got so heavy, I kept them for proportion. Unfortunately, they now hang lower....I can tuck them in pants....lol. They are a lot looser, so they kind of have to be rolled into a bra. It's been very frustrating!

I went to a specialty store and they remeasured me and I bought 2 bras today that fit!

IM HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE SEEMS LIKE THEYVE LOST THEIR MASS AND NOW THEY JUST HANG THERE I HOPE THIS GETS BETTER IM TRYING TO SAVE UP TO GET A LIFT OR SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE

I'm an NN cup. Honestly, I love my chest and I'm hoping I can lose everywhere else and keep at least the majority of what I have. I'm cool with looking like this!:

I was once a 70 I now squeezing these boobs into a 48DDD. My breast literally hand down to my belly button.I was scheduled for reconstruction on March 21st and less than 12 hours before the Dr called and canceled it. The 2 mammograms and utrasound showed microcalcifications. I have been waiting for over one month for my stupid insurance to approve and for a doctor to do a biopsy. Who knows what this biopsy will reveal when I am finally able to get it done. This whole process has me all stressed out and not eating correctly.

Omg woman! You are an inspiration 200+ lbs! Wow. I am in awe.

Your doing great too, 70 pounds is fantastic. Stick with the plan and before you know it you will have lost 200 also.

About 182 pounds of my weight loss was before the surgery. The second 100 pounds was after surgery. I have been maintaining this weight since October. I still have about 40 pounds to get to my goal. However now that the biopsy is back and everything is ok I will hopefully get a new surgery date to get some of this boob skin. I know when they are reduced I will be able to do more exercise after I have recovered and hopefully get to my goal.

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
