What did your FEET do?

Recommended Posts

This is a huge NSV for me. I've always had big feet for a girl. Kind of embarrassed about it especially because I'm only 5'6 ish.

My brother used to make fun of me and call me Saskwatch!! So mean ????????????

Anyway, at a size 9.5 my feet were already above average. When I gained weight, they grew to a size 10.5!!! ????????????????. Almost 11!!

Oh. My. God. The horror!!

Anyway. I've lost 130 pounds. And I now wear a size 9!!!!! Yes!!!!

Thank you vsg for saving my feet. And no foot pain either!!

What did your feet do?

Same size -- but my shoes in that size now fit much better.

I'm hoping my plantar fasciitis calms down after surgery. I am typically an 8.5-9 - but usually a 9 for width. Hoping I can share my daughter's shoes -- she's an 8

Plantar fascitis has been inactive since my surgery. I am down from 10 to 9.5 and that's at 4 weeks out! Hoping for at least another 1/2 size.

I've gone from a 10W to a 9.5; regular width for sneakers/comfy shoes, still wide for heels/boots. Small victories!

My plantar fasciitis has also gone away since I lost the weight! I used to have TERRIBLE foot pain. So bad I could barely walk at times. Each morning I would limp in pain when I stood up.

I believe it was inflammation related to the high sugar diet I was eating and the stress of the weight on my small frame.

I went from a 9.5 to an 8.5. I'm super happy! I Still need to lose another 25lbs but I hope I'm done going down in shoe sizes cause I just bought 5 new boots/shoes for the winter.

It's a little early into the game for me to know for certain, but I suspect my feet will be saying thank you !!!!!!!!

"You was killing us, Haus".

I wear a 15 wide and it is hard to find shoes in this size so going down a size or two would be nice but what I am really hoping is for the foot pain to go away!

I had terrible foot pain before surgery too. Once I lost the first 50 lbs (I'm now down 82), my foot pain resolved. Now if only my feet would shrink from a size 11 to a ten...

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
