SleeveandRNYchica reacted to atontor in Before and After PicsI followed my doctors guide for food. Drank proteins shakes and no sugar added Pops when I wanted a treat. Also made a lot of turkey chili and all vegetables chili with a lot beans for protein . Of course a lot of walking. I just started the gym last week to tone up now.

SleeveandRNYchica reacted to HELLCATT81 in Before and After PicsHow the heck did you lose 110 in 4 months? ??? -
SleeveandRNYchica reacted to dashofsunshine in Before and After PicsHey there!! Don't get discouraged!! Everyone's body is different. I lost 30 lbs my first month out, then lost anywhere from 9-15 lbs every month after that. I'm a little over 10 months out now. I focus on Protein first and eat less than 20 carbs per day (on most days!). I keep my calories really low (700 a day max) because my NUT and doctor specifically tell me to do so. I drink 80-100 oz of Water a day. I walked 3 times a week up until about 3 months ago when I started lifting weights and doing T25 in addition to running. I don't know if my weight loss has been fast, slow, normal - I've just stuck to it and tried to eat in a way that is sustainable for me and my next 60 years of life! Haha. My best advice to you? Get off these boards, or anything else that makes you compare yourself, or feel like you're losing too "slowly," or whatever. I quit social media and message boards a few months in unless I had a specific question or concern, and I only came back once every few months to update. Your journey is yours and no one else's - focus on it and you will be rewarded!
PS I got unbelievably lucky and didn't lose any hair. I took Biotin every day and used biotin shampoo! No clue if that is what made the difference, but worth a shot!

SleeveandRNYchica reacted to ai1992 in Before and After PicsHi everyone! It's been about 10 months now and I am (and have been) in ONEderland for a while! I'll share a before/current pic below. I've never before shown anyone these as they are embarrassing but I am so proud of myself. One thing with a smaller stomach that I have found has been getting in all my fruits and veggies because that is vital. I finally found a company that literally has fruits and vegetables powders in capsule and shake mix form which has seriously changed my life. Anyway, I always post on here every few months to let you all know having the surgery was the best thing I ever did and I am so blessed and thankful to be where I am today. This forum helped me so much pre-op, so I can only hope this reaches/helps out/inspires someone else out there. I'm also on Instagram @ Ahli92. I love making friends!

Work in progress. I still have quite a bit of weight to go, but i am down 80 pounds in 8 months. I'm 5'10" with a large frame.

4 mos and 3 days post sleeve and I've lost 72lbs. I'm excited and can really tell a difference. I bought some new jeans (again), a fitted T-shirt, and a dress today. I remembered the love I had for the person looking back at me in the mirror. I've missed this me, for so long. And I'm so happy to have her back!!

Hello! My name is cassandra and i had my VSG july 22nd of 2013 weighing in at 254lbs. The pics in the purple shirt were taken 2 days ago weighing in at 146.8 i have now been working to tone my body where as before i was always focused on my weight loss. I am currently doing the insanity workouts which i never in a million yrs thought i would be able to do! I am back on track with going to the gym in s regular basis. I do log my food intake again because i need to eat more frequently since i did not stretch my stomach back out to a normal size my dr said it is still slightly smaller. I do want to lose about 5 more lbs but i am happy at where i am. Ive had no complications. Its definitely a lifestyle change and im beyond happy i have made the decision to do so! I love it. It is a tool. You still put in the hard work to achieve your weightloss/fitness goals. From what ive read through you all look amazing and keep up the hard work. It pays off!

Went out for a nice dinner with hubby last night. He insisted on taking a pic when we got home, lol.
Ok, silly question - I've reached my surgeons goal - I'm now getting the "too skinny" comments. Yes? No?
I tend to think it's because folks remember me as a size 24...

SleeveandRNYchica reacted to tcon in Tips From The Trenches: Six Wardrobe Mistakes Not To Make During Your Weight Loss (and I Made Them All!)I'm 39 and I'm almost positive I have not spent $30,000. Maybe she meant $3,000.
