I think you meant 5th. And thank you!!! :D

I am scheduled for 10/15, but I do not have Facebook. Praying that all have an uncomplicated surgery and speedy recovery.

@@RGraham87 how are you recovering?

I am well. I have started my protein shakes. My pain is controlled. As of Friday, I have lost 18lbs since my last weigh in on sept 24th. That was when I started my pre-op diet. I was nervous and excited on my surgery day of sept 29th. So as of today that's 18lbs lost in 10 days. I weighted myself today and I'm still the same as I was Friday, Oct 2nd. I know my body is now in starvation mode. I just need to keep going and stay strong! Good luck to all you October surgery peeps!

@@RGraham87 I glad to hear you are doing well. Are you walking? If so how far are you able to walk?

The up and down of weight lose after this surgery is one of my fears. Not the fear of actually losing weight but getting caught up in I've lost weight, I've lost weight, I've lost weight, oh shit I didn't lose anything I MUST be doing something wrong. It will be hard not to get caught up in that. I will constantly have to remind myself that if I follow the directions, do those things I should be doing, that the weight will come off. But it will be in it's own time.....and that is not Ron's time.

Thank you so much for the good wishes!

I can walk okay. I just can't walk for long. In the shower, I sit on a bench because I can't stand long. My energy needs work. My pain is under control. In the hospital. I could only eat my sugar free jello. Broth made me nauseous at first. But that went away now I am enjoying some sugar free Jell-O's, sugar-free pudding mixed with protein powder, Adkins protein shakes, and broth. Remember your portions. Don't forget to drink a lot of water. I am still fearing that I'm going to end up with dehydration. But that's probably just my paranoia. Hope this helps Ron
