  2. My labs won't be for another few weeks. I'm hoping all will be well. Other than the patches not sticking on their own, I have no complaints. So I really hope they work! I'll update here when I know.
  3. I am sad to say that they do NOT stay on. I've tried different spots and if I forget to put them on with surgical tape or a band aid...they do fall off. The adhesive needs work. I hope to have better results with my blood tests next month
  4. Hi all! If you use multivitamin patches, do you wear them at night or during the day? I just received mine and nowhere does it state which is better day/night. I have to wear for 8-9 hours. Doesn't make a difference to me just wondering if there is a difference for absorption, etc. TIA

  8. 6 months post-op and my favorite best is buying clothes anywhere and everywhere except the plus-sized stores! I LOVE clothes and I would suffer SO much every time I had to buy clothes, especially for special occasions.

  10. The main reason I chose GB RNY was with the hopes that I would dump. But I also learned before my surgery that most people don't. I'm also a sugar addict. I have tried VERY little things with sugar in the last 5 months (1 tablespoon of birthday cake, 4 mm's,) and while I have not dumped I feel as if I were to eat more I would so I'm scared and don't and use that as a tool. A couple of days ago my kids made CC Cookies, I ate 1/3 of the cookie and felt miserable for an hour after. Not dumping per se, but definitely won't be eating another one of those!
  11. I'm 5 months out and sometimes I wonder if I'm supposed to be able to eat "that much" at a time. But then I sit down to have chicken/steak/tuna and can only it a few bites before I'm full and then I know OK that's more like it. One thing I know for sure is that carbs go down a lot more easily and with less of the full feeling than high Protein foods. So I really try to eat my protein first.
  12. I'm out 5 months and have lost 85 since starting program and 69 since day of surgery. But I agree, everyone is different.
  13. I'm 5 months post op and have strep throat. My primary Dr. Is out of town so the NP called in some penicillin for me...I thought I was going to die from the stomach cramping and the BMs that followed. So I didn't take them yesterday and now the pain in my throat is back. I'm sitting here contemplating whether or not to try the penicillin again. What would you do? -Miserable in Miami
  14. I'm 12 days out, God wiling I start my puree stage on Friday.
  15. Congrats! What a relief, eh? I'm 12 days post-op and honestly, I was expecting way worse than anything I've experienced. I'm extremely grateful that it's been this way. Now of only I could get my protein all down for the day...
