Impatiently waiting...June sleevers?

  • Popular Post

Going through my insurance required six month supervised diet. Very anxious for time to pass to get my surgery. I finish in May, so am optimistically looking at June for surgery. Anyone else around my stage? Isn't the wait killing you????

Well, friends, I originally posted here a while ago but then wound up not getting scheduled until the end of July.

The office calls me today to tell me there's a cancellation on June 26th, so I snatched it up and am now officially back to being a June sleever!

I have an appointment bright and early tomorrow to start right away on this pre-op diet! What a whirlwind!

I hope you're all doing well in the various stages of your journey!

Tomorrow is the big day for me. The nerves are definitely there. But glad the wait is almost over. I'm checking in at 9:30am. Oh my goodness. Is anyone else going in tomorrow?

Good luck! I'm Thursday at 7:10am.

I got my sleeve yesterday. Still in the hospital. Feel sore but not much pain. Walk walk walk walk. Rest rest rest. Popsicles and ice chips.

Tomorrow is my day too. I check in at 8:00am. Best of luck.

Tomorrow...6:00am check in time. SOOOO excited.

See you on the losers bench. :)

I had my sleeve yesterday the 16th. I am home now, but between the anti nausea and the pain medication the really has my vision blurry. The doctor said it should clear up when the scoplamin patch comes off in a day or so. I have typos please forgive me. Between the interaction of the two and the pain med just wearing me out, I probably won't be on much until this clears up. Best to all!

Wow, so many are getting their sleeve! I wish all of you the best and I hope you have a speedy recovery!!

Mine is 06/24

Pre-op diet has me starving!! I hope ya'll had an easier time of it!!

Welcome to the other side all June sleevers! I got my sleeve on June 8th and feel great. My biggest surprise is how much swelling and bloat I have around my upper abdomen. It really impacts the scale but drinking lots of liquids and getting my protein in with no problem,

I was sleeved this morning. Still in the hospital. I am not in a lot of pain but I push the morphine button regularly. If all goes well I should be discharged tomorrow. Best of luck.

Good luck to all of you about to be sleeved, and those of you that have been, hoping for you a quick recovery! It's been a while since I posted on this thread. I was hoping to be a June sleever. Pre-op was last Monday and I've been scheduled for July 2. So I missed it by two days! Oh well!

I'm starting my pre-op diet today, and in exactly two weeks - my life will be changed for the better! I'm so looking forward to it! :)
