  1. Arlington is where my dr is... Surgery in Dallas
  2. Awww thank you! I still have those moments where I still see myself as heavy. The mind game is real
  3. I'm great... Congrats on your weight loss so far...
  4. Is it mainly oral steroids you want to avoid? My ear drops contain a steroid and I just realized it.
  5. Oral steroids? I have a ear infection and my ear drops contain a steroid...
  6. Mine was Dr. Frenzel at doctors hospital white rock lake (I think)
  7. I sure hope so bc it's so discouraging to know you're not eating and then not losing
  8. Glad I'm not the only one. I had surgery 6/12 and from the preop to this week I'd lost 18 lbs but the last few days the scale hasn't budged. I was feeling discouraged especially since I'm basically living off liquids and a few ounces of soup a day. I'm 5 lbs away from 150 and would love to see that soon. Once you start introducing more solids have you noticed a loss?
  9. I took off a week and yesterday wasn't bad. Today I was actually more drained feeling. I find it harder to get my liquids in me at work, I get busy and sidetracked.
  10. Did you have it done in one procedure? How long did it take to get done?I was told about 2hrs maybe alittle longer. I did. I believe it was a little over 2 hours. He says I had a lot of scar tissue and it was like they had sewn my stomach to the diaphragm.
  11. I only did a day of liquids after a fill if that. It seems much harder with the sleeve and I'm thinking its bc its so long. I did 2 weeks of preop then 1 week of solid liquids. I am now on creamy soups and Friday can add in tuna and eggs. Tuna sounds like a feast to me at this point
  12. My area where my port was removed was the worst. It burned and was extremely sore. I'm a little over a week out and feeling much better. Went back to work today.
  13. Dr. Clayton Frenzel in Arlington
  14. Today is my 1 week postop day. I'm feeling much better. I get nauseated which I've always related that feeling to being hungry, I think that's the hardest part for me right now. I get to have milk and creamy soups today thank goodness because I am sick of all liquids. I can add my protein drinks in now also, isopure is not something I looked forward to drinking anymore. I weighed 154 this morning.
  15. How do you get samples? I bought a case of isopure without trying them first and that's $50 down the drain because I can't stomach them.
  16. Had my surgery on the 12th and stayed one night in hospital. Was up walking that evening and throughout the night. Came home Saturday and was off pain meds by Sunday evening. I had a lapband removed at the same time as they performed my sleeve so my sorest areas were where my port was. My staples are starting to itch, coughing is a little uncomfortable but overall I'm feeling better. I'm on clear liquids and I'll be so glad to sip a protein shake that's not clear ????
  17. I'm home recouping.. Still trying to feel normal and regain energy. Haven't needed pain meds since Sunday evening. Taking zofran because it makes me feel better lol.. Sore where my port was but its much better.
