  5. I am doing well. I am slow, but steady so that makes me happy. HW 286- 3/15, SW 265.8- 6/15/15, CW 230.6 10/12/15. My doctor is very pleased with my progress. I started out at a BMI of 49 and am now to 39. I joined my local YMCA and now do Water aerobics and lap swimming.

  13. I have been using Premier Protein shakes. The vanilla is the only flavor I can handle and also using unjury Unnflavored. I have managed to get all protein in except today. It has been a tough one.

  21. I had my sleeve yesterday the 16th. I am home now, but between the anti nausea and the pain medication the really has my vision blurry. The doctor said it should clear up when the scoplamin patch comes off in a day or so. I have typos please forgive me. Between the interaction of the two and the pain med just wearing me out, I probably won't be on much until this clears up. Best to all!

  24. I am right there with you @@smiranda! I am excited, nervous but most importantly ready to embrace life as a fit person for the first time in a long time! 4 days left including today!!
  25. I am June 16th. Day 9 of pre-op diet here. I am thankful for my pre-op diet. 30-40 carbs a day and no more than 1400 calories. Nothing but liquids after 6 pm the night before surgery and nothing after midnight that same day. I just keep reminding myself it's only temporary and I can do this.

  27. I am 8 days out. I too have made a list of the why I am doing this. I have moments of panic, but I stop and take a deep breath and know this is the right thing for me to do.
  28. Day 4 of pre-op diet. It was tough yesterday as my parents insisted on going out to eat lunch. (my pre-op is 30-40 carbs a day) Thankfully I found a great grilled shrimp ceasar salad with dressing on the side. So far so good. June 16th, here I come.
  29. I am on day 2 of my pre-op diet. June 16th is my day. Nervous but excited
  30. It is different for every doctor. Some require a liquid diet for a period of time. My doctor requires 30-40 carb a day for two weeks prior. Your surgeon will let you know what they prefer. Also, your doctor may require additional testing. That will vary from situation to situation. It will depend on what medical issues you have going on.
  31. My pre-op diet is 30-40 carbs per day for 2 weeks prior.
  32. Me too! Pre-op diet starts Tuesday for me.
  33. I have a Fitbit flex and it really opened my eyes to how much I wasn't moving! I love it when it shakes and flashes that I meet my goal! It really helps keep me motivated to move.
  34. June 16th here! I am excited but nervous. I start pre-op diet next week.
