October 2014 sleevers check in please!

Recommended Posts

I had mine done October 27th. My starting weight was (sigh) 336 and today I am 319. I have my 2 week check up on November 11th and I cannot wait to get the go-ahead to start the soft phase. This liquid phase is rough!

Weighed myself this morning and I'm down to 218 from 238 in 2 weeks! Yay!! I've been power walking just about every day which has obvious been helping a lot.

Sleeved on the 30th. 274 starting weight. 277 highest weight. 265 day of surgery. 255 today - 1 week post op. So tired of liquids but not feeling any hunger at all. Biggest problem is the smell of food. I need a smellectomy. The liquids/protein powder don't taste good and I'm for something that tastes good.

Hello everybody. I was sleeved October 29th. My hv 279 day of surgery 235 current 226. I'm feeling good. Enjoying my time off. I went and got groceries yesterday. I love home cooked meals for my kids. But it does get tiring quicker than it used to.

Congratulations Samantha

I would suggest making the meals as simple as possible. Sandwiches ans Soups won't hurt them for a little while. You need to rest and recover as much as possible.

sleeved 10/2, down 30.5 since and it is just 5 weeks. I am eating regular food which I chew chew chew. I am full very quickly. had severe heartburn for a couple of days so I paid attention to what new food I had added and then realized that it was coffee causing me this greif. guess my new stomack can't deal with the acid of the coffee which is ok because I was not enjoying coffee as I did before my surgery. my goal is to lose 70 lbs and I am glad to find this forum

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
