October 6th, 7th and 8th Sleevers Please Acknowledge Yourselves!

Hey everyone, I know we have an October thread but I wanted to create one specifically for those of us being sleeved on next Monday and Tuesday. I think it would be awesome for us to support each other and actually follow each other post-op.

I'm being sleeved on Tuesday, October 7th! Wow still can't believe I have 6 days remaining. I'm not nervous at all just excited and ready to start my journey. My husband thinks something is wrong with me because I'm not nervous lol.

Like many of you I've been battling my weight since childhood. I'm 35 years old with a BMI of 44 and 5 months ago I said no more diet pills and no more starving myself for only a 10 lbs lost. I've never been below 200 lbs. in my adult hood.

Guys I told my mom yesterday and now I'm regretting it. Her response was the following "why don't you just diet" :(. I couldn't believe it, I absolutely could not believe it. Anyway I had to brush that off very quickly and continue my conversation with my mom without exposing my true feelings. I'm not discouraged just wishing I wouldn't had sad anything.

I'm moving forward, all my thoughts are centered around Tuesday morning. I wish all of you the best and please keep each other lifted up pre and post op.

Welcome Home amp2014!!! Sorry to here that you had any issues but it sounds like you are doing well and that you are on track. Thanks for sharing your experience and best wishes for smooth sailing and many more pounds lost!!

You are welcome!!! and I meant hear not here!!!! Lol If you can't make fun of yourself you had better not make fun of anyone else!!

Anyone have cramps/spasms after eating or drinking ? I also had 2 episodes last night that woke me up out of dead sleep. Idk if this is normal or not but if so am I doing something wrong or is there anything I can do to control this ? Help !!

@@amp2014 I had really bad cramps. I was told it's because I'm drinking too quickly. It takes me about 3hrs to drink 4oz of grape juice.

Ok thanks I will try to slow down. I assumed I was already slow lol but it's worth a shot if it helps :)

How is everyone doing?? I was sleeved on tuesday and came home last night. Trying to sip as much as I can and get some liquid protein in. Just wanted to check in and see how all my week-mates were doing!

I was sleeved on Tuesday the 7th. So far not doing bad. Very sore and it is hard to get enough down. I just want to sleep on my side again.

I had my sleeve surgery on Oct 6, 2014. I am doing pretty well. I am blessed to have only faced a small bit of nausea. I have kept the circle of people of that I have told very small to try to avoid the negative comments. I am really looking forward to sleeping on my side again.

I was sleeved Tuesday also. Felt great and came home Thursday and barely using the pain meds. So far no nausea. But the back of the roof of my mouth is soooo sore. That started saturday and also my left side started aching. Pre op I used premade protein shakes. But now on the powder and can't find anything I like. Whats every one using. Looking forward to full liquids in 2 more days

I have tried a lot. The best one so far is Gold Standard whey Protein. Double chocolate. I have tried other flavors too they are pretty good. My son has been trying multiple brands for years. Arnold Swartzanegger brand is tasty too. I hope that helps.

I was sleeved on 10/08!!! Tough start but finally starting to feel human. NO interest in food which is great!!!!!

I'm an October 6th surgery and feel great started at 249 and now 15 days post op I weigh 223 super excited about new life and would love to hear other victories

@@lillian1383840078 that's fantastic! I was also sleeved on the 6th and I feeling pretty good, but I've only lost 10ish lbs. Don't get me wrong, I still think 10lbs is fantastic for me, but it's not a crazy high number like yours. Are you exercising a lot? If so, long are you exercising for?

Thanks!! I bought myself the Fitbit flex it keeps me on my toes and also motivates me to stay active, I week out I felt like myself finally so I started walking for about 45 minutes but this past Friday I started the gym and I enjoy the arc trainer less pressure one knees and I can stay on that for about 55 minutes!! Believe me I have impressed myself!! I am going to continue that 3x week and light weights 2x week......I would love a buddy to communicate with because only someone that has chosen the sleeve as a tool to help themselves be a healthier person knows what I am talking and feeling about. So let's motivate each other and communicate when we can!!! You innnnnn?
