  2. I had VSG on 10/8 and I am using Premiere Protein premade shakes that are 30gm protein in 11oz. I have added Torino SF raspberry syrup which helps. I also sometimes pour only 2-4 oz at a time. There is no way l can drink 11oz yet.. Babysteps!!!
  3. Hi! I had VSG on 10/08 at OHSU in Portland, Or. I have my first post-op appt today! All l can say is baby steps!!! I hope everyone gets to their wt loss destination!!! Good luck to all!!!!
  4. My VSG was 10/08/14 and l foolishly thought l would post for the first time from the hospital during my post-op days! I had NO idea! Those in-patient days are a blur! I had read that VSG wasn't for the faint of heart etc but l am a surgery PRO!!! LOL!!! l have had too many to name and l am up and around in record time without requiring help....ever! I truely needed an advocate even though l have 30yrs nursing experience. I was totally unable to make any decisions. My grown daughter was at my beck and call, constantly asking what she could do to help. All l knew was l was a ball of misery and didn't know what would help. My entire belly is black and blue! But never hurt once. However l had a bizarre side effect/ complication which was "the headache from hell" !! I have had migraines but this was different. I woke up post-op with my head hurting sooo bad l never noticed my belly pain once. The pain remained severe and constant until a small reprieve on tuesday eve the 14th with greater intervals until yesterday the 15th was mostly headache free! Yay! I awoke today in the wee hours to discover the headache is back! I have used my narcotics, liquid tylenol, ice, heat, essential oils and pressure points! Has anyone experienced this???? Or have any advise on headaches??? I have actually kept my sense of humor and at one point asked my family if my icepack on my head might become a fashion statement if l wore it long enough! LOL!!! Anyway...where are my peeps from the 8th??? And venting is cathartic!!!! Thanks all!!!
