Anyone else working with Dr. LeMasters? Does anyone know about how long it takes to get on the schedule for surgery once insurance paperwork is sent in? Does anyone know how far out they are scheduling?

I too am going thru Dr. Eibes & going to Belmond for my surgery. I am currently waiting for insurance approval. I was so happy to see your post & hear your comments regarding this doctor & the facility. I would be great to connect with you sometime & compare notes. I am from the Des Moines Area. How are you doing since your surgery?

I am going through Mercy with Dr. Smolick. I am with BCBS as well. Very excited about only needing to do the 1 month nutrition counseling. I have everything ready except for some labs to be done and then I will be submitted to insurance for approval. Hoping for a January surgery date!!

Got approved this week! I could have surgery December 12 but I'm opting to wait till January. I'm hoping that's a good decision. So hard to decide. My worry is being able to still do my daughters 14th sleep over January 30th. But very excited that it is truly gonna happen!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
