Welcome!!!!!!!!!!! This is a forum of much information and experiences. Also differences of opinions :). Take what you need, ask questions and try to see that no one means harm when they respond to your comments. We have a mix of new ones. Those that have just had surgery and those that are on their journey to goal. Too you have vets here as well that can offer help as you go along.

No ones experiences are identical which you will find out.....

Happy posting newbie...... :)

Welcome! This is the best place for all the information you need. I have been here nearly every day prior to surgery last November, if only to scan for a minute. Thank God for this site, it has been our crutch and support!

I haven't been here long, but WELCOME!!

I find this site very helpful to me as a VSG patient. I am not one to check sites frequently (not on FB; I am on twitter, but rarely). But I check this site a few times a day.

Good wishes to you and it's likely that whatever your fear, question, anxiety, someone here can/will lend support/advice from their/our experience...to go with what your doc and team advise.

Again, welcome!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
