Upper Arm Lift, brachioplasty

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had a upper arm lift, do you have any photos to share?

What do your scars look like?

Just dreaming of the day when I have lost so much weight that I will have to have surgery to remove the extra skin.....no more living life in a fat suit, lol

on page 5 of this thread there is a close up of my arm incision just 5 weeks post op. It has been 2 months now and I need to get updated pictures to share... watch for it. I had multiple procedures but my arm incisions are so much better then I feared. I almost chickened out on the arm because of the scarring but i a SO GLAD I did the arms. It changed my whole /look profile. I showed the scars to someone the other day and he said he could barely see them - he thought i had just somehow magically lost weight in my arms..haha

Cowgirl, that arm surgery after 5 weeks didn't look bad at all! Very, very nice. Yes, do put up some new pix. :)

Thanks for sharing this.

I had an arm lift and it was the best decision to have made. My arms now look normal and can fit into jackets, sweaters and look good! Do I have scars yes; it will be a year Jan 2014 and they do seem to have faded but of course are still there. If you can handle the scars, no problem.

Wow Ok, I'm not so fearful after all. I mean I'm still a long ways away from even needing that procedure done. But to know that the scar looks like that and there's no bulging or puckering of skin, calms my nerves. You look great!

Here is one of my arm lift scars. Because of placement, nobody can really see them unless I left my arm and show them.

everybody's different but I am telling you the scars almost nonexistent… They get lighter and lighter. basically it's a white line no one could see it unless it's pointed out about six months out

I have to be able to lift 50 lbs. for my job, so how long after the arm lift do you think I could return to work? That's my main concern, how long my recovery would be...and if my health insurance will cover it :/ how long was your recovery as far as movement of your arms and being able to lift things??

I doubt insurance will pay for an arm lift. I think you will need many weeks off from heavy lifting to minimize the scarring, but only a surgeon can answer that. My scars are already disappearing quite nicely at about 3 months out. The pain for the arms was minor and my results were very good.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
