What's the story behind your profile name?

  • Popular Post

I find a lot of names on here interesting and I'm sure there are good stories behind how everyone chose them. Anyone like to share? For me, Kindle is my horse's name and she was the "straw that broke the camel's back" in my decision to have VSG. I feel bad for her, having to lug my fat ass around the mountains and would love to be able to hop on her without having to find a rock or log to climb up on. (there's a dozen other reasons behind my decision, but my profile name is my tribute to her and how much more fun we will have next summer!)

It is great to see how many dog lovers we have! Mine represents the names of my fur babies: Chiquito, Chocolate, Canario, Valentin. :)

I'm also a dog lover, I have a 12yr old Jack Russell And a 2yr old Yorkie, she's only 4 lbs but thinks she's a Great Dane! lol

Nothing exotic or inspiring about mine. It's my name and employee number. Easy to remember! Lol

Mine comes from when I was little. My name is Tina Marie. My brother couldn't say his M's very well, so it turned into Tinaree.

My daughter's name is Dawn Marie. Her twin sister always called her Dawnyree. Very similar to your story. :-)

As 50th birthday present to myself I bought a scooter. It is so much fun to ride I feel like a kid again, hence "scootergirl" rather than "scooter middle aged lady". Thanks to my sleeve I have lost enough weight to carry my daughter on the scooter with me. We have a great time together as we ride. Thank you, sleeve.

Lol- I did this for my 49th birthday except mine is red. :)

I bet no one can guess what mine means :P

Steviefan1~ Name comes from a 35 year obsession with the Rock Goddess, Stevie Nicks.

She is pretty AWESOME!!

Mine is, well, my major goal is to run a marathon. I love running and am so excited to get back to it!

Great thread! I wanted something stealthy (I'm pretty secretive about the surgery) and I was celebrating the device I was having installed in my body because I was so nervous about the whole thing. Also I was in a book group called Salonistas, so I transferred that to Bandista.....here I am, whole new me.

I chose my name "geekygal" as my education and experience is in animal behavior and clinical science. That also is why I have a dolphin as my avatar. I do love science fiction and am a big Star Trek fan even through I am 55!

To follow the previous posts, I found my stripper name via a generator and its "Heidi Heaven Fire" but that's not the first one I got. The first one was a bit too politically incorrect for this forum, LOL!

I go by different names people call me like boogiebaby or Mia but Maynard is a name my friend calls me. She always asks me, "Good stuff Maynard?" So I figured why not. lol. Something different.

I live in Orlando fl which I call O-town and Body Rock means two things to me: to dance and to have a rock body!!

..and my Hooker name is "Deuce Continental"!!

I just made it up many years ago when I was signing up with LapBandTalk.com and somehow it stuck with me. I used it everywhere now.

Years ago when my kids were little we watched the movie Kangaroo Jack. There was a guy named Jackie Leggs. My name is Jackie just spelled Jaci so Jacileggs was born. I also use it for most things.
