Butterbean is spot on! And I say "if you see it on TV, you don't want it". Somehow it helps.

Or better yet, watch "Supersize Me" and pay attention to what happens to liver enzymes on McDonald's "food". NOT healthy!

You're not missing a thing. Think about all the food that others are having as having a selective poison. It won't hurt them if they eat it, but if you eat it it will cause you harm. Because that's the truth. When you ate it before your surgery it caused you harm, and if you ate it after your surgery it would cause you harm. It won't hurt them, but it will hurt you. Why would you want to eat anything that is a poison.

It may be hard to change your attitude about this, but if you try it will really benefit you.

Mine too! After a stressful day the fries would call my name. Supersize those bad boys. Now after research and getting out of being unhealthy...there's no going back.

Oh yeah! I forgot about that show. My son will no longer ate mc Donald's after watching it and he's 17. Crazy how successful they are with bad food. Although they do have some healthy alternatives that I had before sleeved, but no fires or mc nuggets for me! Lol pure poison for my body.

Luv me some bugers and fries but McD's is the last place Id go for food. Livd across the street from 1 for 2 yrs and only went there once, for fries (dipped in hot mustard). Now if they were eating a Red Robin burger in front of me (and that wouldn't happen cuz I still eat em) Id be jealous...

Good job on ur part

I used to be at McD's constantly ... now I can't stomach the thought, literally ... I tried once about a month after my procedure and haven't been back since ... it didn't taste the way I remembered ...and that was an eye opening day!!

I actually went there last week thinking they still had their angus burgers and I could get one if those bunless and be ok. Um, NO! They don't have them anymore. So I got the home style burger bunless. I ended up having the runs (sorry, probably tmi) several times. NEVER doing that again.

There is an awful lot of McDonald's bashing in this thread.......Not so sure all the issues that people have are the fault of the restaurant industry. Most of us are involved with VST because of our history of poor decisions regarding food. Not sure that the choice of restaurants would have made a difference. I know that I have eaten a lot of Big Mac's in my day, and enjoyed them!

If you look at McDonald's website, www.mcdonalds.com, they actually have a lot of information about what is in their food. 100% beef is pretty good, considering what you can get elsewhere. The pink slime, seen on the internet, surely applies to some nugget products of food manufacturers, but McDonald's has all white meat chicken nuggets since 2003. Sometimes a little of the wrong information can be dangerous.

I feel that I know more today than yesterday about the food I eat and the choices I make. I wouldn't eat every meal at a fast food restarant until I vomit, like Morgan Spurlock. In full disclosure I have a family association with McDonald's that has helped me understand the "real story". This has allowed me to know more about how they operate than the average person.

If in a situation where McDonald's was the option, I would not be afraid to choose a burger without the bun, scrambled eggs at Breakfast or a yogurt parfait. I am of the opinion that healthy options are available just about anywhere. We just have to find them.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
