It's SO yummy and easy!!

1 package boneless skinless chicken

1 bottle Russian Dressing

1 packet dry onion Soup mix

1 jar apricot preservers

Spray baking dish. Place chicken down, cover in dry onion soup mix, drop spoonfuls of apricot preserves over each piece then spread over all the chicken. Pour Russian dressing over the too, cover, and bake for 1 hour at 350.

For the spaghetti squash I just cut it in half, scoop out seeds and pulp, spread 2 tbs olive oil all over inside and out. Place face down on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour at 350. Once finished, allowed to cool for about 5-10 min then take a fork and "string" the inside of it out to make your "spaghetti noodles".

That was a major fail. Return to sender 5 mins after eating. I think i ate too fast or maybe it was the rice. Me and rice don't get along too well. DOS:358 CW:270 SD:1/28/13

Jerz, I know we aren't supposed to have much rice. I find if the rice is moist day in sauce and I eat small bites and chew up I can eat a little here and there. I love rice so I didn't want to give it up all together. Good luck on your journey to a new you!!

Fish chowder:

1/4 medium onion chopped

1 1/2 tbsp of butter

2 small red potatoes cut into chunks

1/2lb of cod' date='haddock, scrod (any white fish will work)

Salt/pepper

1 tbsp of Thyme

Bay leaf

1 5oz can of 2% evaporated milk

1 1/2 cups of milk (I use 1% but skim works too)

1 8oz bottle of clam juice

Sweat onions in butter until translucent. Add potatoes and clam juice. Add Water if needed until potatoes are covered. Add thyme, bay leaf, salt and pepper. Let summer covered for about 10min. Lay fish on top and cover again. Cook for another 10min. Add evaporated milk and regular milk and simmer for about another 5-10 min. Stir gently so you don't break the fish up too much. Season with salt/pepper to taste. Enjoy!!

I have to mention this is always better the next day. And I get about 4-5 my size servings out if it. If your cooking it for your family I would maybe double the recipe except for the clam juice.

Thank you!

It depends on how strict your pre-op diet is. I didn't have one at all, so I can't answer your question with total honesty. I'm sorry! Google Russian dressing chicken nutrition stats then compare it to your diet plan. I couldn't imagine it being too far off of what the diet is though. I used the boneless skinless tenders and it only came out to like 103 cals, 16 carbs, and 23 grams of Protein per tender. That's completely fine according to my docs post op diet.

You know u can get something besides the footy tootie, they just subtract the cost of that from what u order. I get those all the time too.. For each family member ! Went the other day and got steak tips with sautéed mushrooms and onions, it also came with pancakes, 2 eggs, hash browns and my husband ate all the food except about 4 steak tips and a bite of mushrooms and onion. Had the coupon and they took $7.50 off the bill to replace the free rooty tooty, so we only paid like $3 !

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
