Good Morning Violets!

PAMELA - first of all just want to say how very beautiful you are! You've got a million dollar smile and gorgeous eyes!! You're hot now--can't wait to see you in a year!! Especially if you keep up that training schedule! Woo HOO!!

Now, for the drinking thing: I had a pretty hard time with it...still do. I do usually have a drink in front of me but instead of taking a full-on swig, 2-3 times I'll just have enough to cleanse my pallate....y'know like maybe a teaspoon full....and find that really helps a lot! So many times I'll order a tea to drink while I"m waiting for food and at the end of the meal I've only had maybe 1/4 of the entire drink!! Talk about not being able to break a habit!! Many times I sit there and think, "I just paid $1.69 for 5 sips of tea??" ;) Don't know why I can't get it thru my skull to just take a sip of DH's or something. Good for you in getting your head on board with matching up your meal size with your ability to eat it all! It's an ongoing process for quite some time in all kinds of areas, isn't it? Things we never thought to consider but all need adjustments. We're doing it...little by little!

Good luck with your classes .... and your eating! Just think of Judy hanging over your shoulder watching what you're ordering and how you're eating it. That oughta do it.

KAT - Your party sounds absolutely fantastic!!! You have honored your parents in such a beautiful way and they are very lucky to have a daughter (and friends, and community) like you! You've worked really hard on this one and my hat's off to you! Thanks, too, for your words to Lunasa... that helps all of us. I knew you'd have some good advice and you didn't fail!!

TRACYK - Thanks for the update on your panty situation! :D I was laying awake this morning wondering how you might be doing in that regard. Now I can go back to sleep peacefully. LOL!

On that note...I went shopping yesterday and find I am painfully 'between sizes'. Quite frustrating. 16W's are getting too big but 14W's are hard to find. So I go to the regular ladies department and regular 16's are too small!! I get a LOT of exercise when I shop now and walk away with NOTHING! Grrrrrrr. Had a great coupon for 25% off entire purchase at Avenue and couldn't find a darn thing. Don't need casual clothes, I need work clothes. Guess I'll have to go to the much more expensive Dillard's. Summer temperatures last til mid-October here so we really stock up on summer clothes while they're on the racks. My closet is pretty bare since giving away so many. :D

I'm still incredibly sore today and am trying to decide how to get some good exercise in without using my quads (?)! Maybe I'll try the hot tub at the gym and then go swimming....then back in the hot tub, back in the pool, then the dry sauna. I really wanted to try the spinning class today, but that is NOT happening.

Love you all -- have a great day!

AHHHHHHHHHH speaking of hot tubs... I wore new sketchers to work last night and wanted to die at 11pm, and just as I was thinking a dip in the pool might be just what i need to relax, my friend called to see if I wanted to come soak in the hot tub... you know what I did right.?????

ok so it was an x.... and told me how great I was looking and he has no idea about surgery

how nice was that

Hi Everyone!

Pamela - the pictures are great and thanks for sharing! I agree with you that my mind and eyes think I need more food than my new stomach.

Kat - your parents are so lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you -- and so are we - thanks for watching over us and giving us our education, and your advice.

Jenn - I wish you the best of luck on finding a job that will be satisfying for you.

Laura - congrat's -- can't wait to see pictures! Hope the house is getting fixed.

Judy - congrat's on the NSV, looking forward to seeing your picture as well -- Fantastic job by DH -- he caught up to you, that is the way it is with men - they can loose so much faster than women.

Have a great weekend everyone and BE SAFE!

Gina

Ahhhhhhhhh just came in from a 40 minute workout in my pool. I just LOVE it! Got my Water barbells and I do 50 reps of about 10 different exercises. Plus running around the pool 15 times. Bet that looks darn silly to the neighbors!! The water temp is 80 and the air temp is 66 so of course I try and stay in the pool as long as possible!!!

Time to get my clothes ready for church tomorrow and then head to bed. I know it's early, but I read and watch some tv before nodding off.

DH and I finally celebrated our anniversary dinner tonight. We went to Applebees and got their applewood chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach salad. It was soooooooooo yummy and we split the meal. Plus it didn't cost a thing except for a tip cause we had enough punches on our card!!!

Everyone have a good eveing.. sleep well and remember to follow those bandster rules!! Are ya listening, Pam??? hehehehe

I fell short of my goals and am not happy about it at all! ;)But I WILL NOT fall short in July, you can take that to the bank!!!

Who else is in for a July exercise challenge???

Guess I'll have to go to the much more expensive Dillard's.

Terri, I think there is a Dillard's outlet store there if you live in TX. I think it's in Houston. (?)

Anyway Dillard's is having a great sale this week end with a lot $9.99 for summer clothes. I know, because I work at Dillard's parttime her in STL.

Ms Jen - Thanks...I'm gonna check out that outlet store! Didn't know they had one! I actually just got home from their great sale! I got 4 pair of pants and 5 shirts for work...for about $300. Nice clothes, for what... $33 each piece. Not bad for Ralph Lauren, Jones NY and JH Collectibles, eh?? It'll get me thru the summer, I hope! Bought some pants a bit snug, too, so that'll be fun to watch how they fit better and better as time goes on. Also, got a pair of Jones NY pants at the resale shop for $2 on Thursday! ;) Now, THAT's a deal!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
