I was told no lifting till I went in for my 8 week appt then he said nothing over 40 lbs till my next check in at 12 weeks. My next appt is at the end of January. I asked about working out my stomach and he said not till he sees me for my 12 week checkup.

If things go well, I am hoping to have my surgery over the summer, which would make my lil one around 20lbs and 16months. I don't see myself being able to not pick him up or hold him for 6 weeks. Just isn't fesible.

and at 2 wks my restriction was nothing over 20 lbs..... so many differences. I can see doctors wanting to be careful that you don't develop a hernia but the weight limits go from one extreme to another...... Should be more uniform!

I am having surgery on January 22 and I have a 20 month old son that weighs over 30 pounds. As far as I know my post op paperwork says nothing over 5 pounds for a week. I hope I only have this restriction for a week because how am I suppose to not pick up my son for a week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
