Today is my first day back to work in the office. I worked from home last week. Surgery was on 9/10 and I took 2 weeks off. Plenty of time for me. On a bright note' date=' I had to do my wellness screening for work to get a discount on my insurance premiums and.....I went from a high BMI of 41 to a 35 today! Highest weight was 225 and today I'm 191 (34 pounds total, 19 since surgery). Yes, I'm counting every single pound gone since I started this journey a year ago!![/quote']

Woo Hoo! Way to go!!!

Good job ladybug! My surgery wad the 10th, i came back to office after 2 weeks.which was probably to soon for me.they had to repair a ruptured hiatal hernia while they were in there. So i am still in a lot of pain in my belly button area. Bless those of you who are able to eat every 2 hours, i am doing good to easy twice a day....i want so badly to find my silver lining already, but have not got there yet. Day of surgery 236, today 213...= -23 lb.in 3 weeks, but i just wish i felt better to truly appreciate it....

So I was discharge from the hospital yesterday and honestly my pain is minimal. I have been passing a little gas, still no BM...and I can tolerate drinking a little cold with a little pain and warm liquids. I have climbed 2 flights of stairs but I'm still taking it easy....my taste buds haven't changed because I am constantly thinking of all the yummy food inventions I will create... :( bored with broths, Jello and Popsicles

Disclaimer: period question!

So yesterday night I randomly started bleeding. My cycle is the 15th. It is very heavy and I have gone through 3 super tampons. Anyone experience this?

Got mine today 2 days before surgery, not suppose to happen until next week Monday.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
