I have a question I am 3 weeks out and when I eat or drink anything it hurts my stomach does everybody feel that way. I thought it was normal I just wanted to check I feel like I'm going to throw up a lot but I don't eat hardly anything. Plus I have a hard time getting my liquids in. I really try to drink but it doesn't feel good so I don't drink as much as I should. Any thoughts

I feel similar especially when I drink in the manner I used to ie taking a big sip or gulp. Also I used to love chewing ice and drinking very cold Water. Now I tolerate warm MUCH better, and I really must sip small amounts at a time.

We must be very careful not to get dehydrated I saw on the boards that someone used a tiny medicine cup to sip with so she could see how much she was taking with each sip. Maybe that would help you.

Has anyone tried a small sip after eating? I want just a small piece of ice or something but am scared to death! If we eat three meals and it takes the minimum of 30 minutes to eat and we can't eat 30 minutes before or after, that's 4.5 hours a day we can't drink. I already don't get enough fluid! This isn't working!!!

I was told not to drink 5 min before eating not 30 that seems like a little to much time to me, your pouch shouldn't hold Fluid for longer then 5 mins I would think.

I said the same thing to a friend of mine today, not enough hours in the day for all the eating and drinking.

I was told at least 30-45 minutes no drinking before or after

This is surly a different road traveled. I've found out I get nauseous when its time.to eat. Last night I drank way to much Water because my throat was so dry I couldn't even talk. Then I was sick! I read that you can ruin your pouch doing that.

;( so now I have a sippy bottle by my bed.

3 weeks post op and still in pain. I had a few days pain free but, then they come back full force. What are y'all doing for the incision pains? Who's totally sick of cream Soups? I can't wait to enter phase 3 diet and start water aerobics! What's your choice of exercise? Have a great night my friends!

Sounds like we are all in the same boat in one way or another! At least we know we are not alone. I am very thankful for this forum and each of you on here!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
