So hey hey September members how is your day going? Where are you in your pre op eating? Thoughts? Fears?

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

My sugery date is 9/12 and I'am following my 2 weeks Pre Op diet because my doctor says I need to lose 10 pounds. So far I lost 8 pounds. I thought following that crucial that I'd starve my myself but I'm getting use to start eating healthy. This morning I had a hard boiled egg with wheat toast. For lunch I had boiled carrots and some grilled shrimps. With no salt no seasoning. For dinner scrambled eggs with green peppers and a small slice of low fat cheese. My Mom is so awesome! She came home from the health store and purchased Protein vanilla shakes and a soy Protein Powder container. She is so sweet. She said she wanted to start to get the liquid diet week ready after my sugery. My family are eating the same like me. I guess they all gonna loose weight too :-)

I am at the phyc eval. Any advise? I'm nervous I may say the wrong thing and she says I can't have surgery.

Before I went to see the Phsy my friends who had the sugery told me not to say you are depressed. Well despite of the problems I have with my daughter and my gjob I told him the truth. I mean I'm not depressed but concerned for my health and I had to be selfish and do me. I expressed my myself how I want my future to be. He said to me that having this surgery will be a big transformation and there will be times that I may get depressed. Overall he said that I'am a strong woman and I'am fit and ready for this. Allelujah!!! @ jeremysmoma, you will do fine. Don't worry.

So my surgery is monday morning at 9am. I am excited but very hungry. I have been on liquified pureed food all week and doing clear liquid for 2 days before. So broth and popsicles...applesauce to curb the need for texture. I have been cleaning like crazy today getting my house clean enough to survive my down time. With six kiddos, it can never be to clean. I cleaned out my closet and dressers. I am ready for the new change but very nervous... I am ready to sign over my paycheck for just one bite of a Bologna sandwich.. Just one more day!!

Im on clear liquids for three days after surgery then after that i can add milk and other "full liquids", which i follow for two weeks. After two weeks i get soft food. At four week some solid. Then i can add everything gradually at six weeks.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
