Trying to get as much over time as possible due to having no short term disabilty when I am off for 4-6 weeks. Going to spend time with the family on Sunday, my 10 year old said he wanted to spend a whole day with me before surgery such a cute kid. I am so ready for this I can't wait. Going to be fun to do clears on sunday when I go out to dinner with the whole family for my sisters birthday, I will just have to bring stuff with me.

Just thinking out loud when I spoke to my therapist a Long time ago I remember she told me ppl who lose weight now have to deal with issues that got them there in the 1st place. food has always been comforting, there with every emotion good or bad for me so now that it will change I wonder how things will be. My cousin had wls awhile ago and after losing weight she turned to alcohol not good :/ Ive heard and read alot of stories like that.I've dealt with alot of my issues prior to this point I know most of weight gain stems from being abused as a child. I'm just wishing and praying for a great outcome!! To Quote Sean Sheppard:

I'm the sum of many experiences, some good, some not so good. I was a victim of sexual abuse but that hasn't turned me into a lifelong victim.

Same here I was mentally physically and sexual abused as a child My mother would call me a pig and oink at me when I would ask for food she put my on very strict diets and would check to top of the mustard I see if it had crust so when I got older and was kicked out at the age of fourteen for having a d on a mid term I used it as a way to empower myself I could eat whatever I wanted so I did and did every drug I could get ahold of I know where I stand in my recovery and I work so hard to stay mentally healthy and now I am also going to work on being physically healthy I know I am walking a very fine line and I have to keep myself in check at all times!!

Hey everyone had a good day at work. Had a patients son tell me my attitude made him feel very comforted and reassured. That really made my day. I have to admit my profession as a nurse has always been a big part of my self esteem. However on the way home my tire popped and my brother had to come change it for me. While I was waiting I busted up my finger on my brothers hood guard. all in all a heck of a day. Hope everyone has a great weekend. This is my last weekend of eating the old way. I start my liquid diet Monday. Have my final dr appt and dietician one on one . Friday the 21 st I get my IVC filter placed and found out today I might need to stay overnight in the hospital. Not sure why will explore Monday. I am tired been a long week chat at you all later!

Wow janelane you've been thru alot also I'm so glad u overcame all that and ur in a better place now! Sad to say my mom was the same when I finally got the courage and help to tell her it was her husband abusing me she kicked me out told all my family I was delusional, crazy, evil trying to ruin her life!! To this day our relationship has never been the same but moving to Texas 7 years ago 2000 miles away frm home was the best decision I have ever made!

One thing I never thought of: When you buy chicken broth for your liquid diet, make sure you get the low sodium chicken broth. I bought couple cases from Sams and never looked at the label. After 7 days, sure I lost weight but my ankles are more swollen than they ever been. The sodium in the broth is about 1000mg. :o

Wow that really sucks! My nutritionist and nurse made sure to tell us at group to look for 98% fat free and low sodium!! I never realized how high sodium content can food has!!

I am finally home! I could have been released yesterday but because of the pain I decided to stay an extra day. Everything is going well! Sipping and walking are taking up most of my time!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
